Black Orchid Hair Studio is a locally owned boutique salon in Downtown Langley. Located in McBurney Lane Courtyard, the salon is surrounded by other local businesses and loads of character. Black Orchid's original location was a small studio apartment on Fraser Highway which opened in 2008. The salon continued to grow and evolve in that location for nearly 8 years.
Cristina is one of the owners of Black Orchid Hair Studio. She has 15+ years experience in the industry. Although she's a busy mom of 2 littles, she loves to spend her "free" time golfing in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. She also takes every opportunity that comes her way for travel. Shelly is one of the owners of Black Orchid Hair Studio.
Our stylists are passionate about their work and determined to deliver consistent, beautiful healthy hair to every client in the chair. Using Davines hair color and styling products, we are able to design and customize trend setting looks for each and every client. Black Orchid Hair Studio is implementing new systems to better serve our guests and new career opportunities for our employees.
A natural hair care line from Parma, Italy with ingredients drawn from a wealth of herbs, flowers and fruits. Not only do Davines products "perform", this hair care line has taken a pro-active role in going GREEN in their packaging efforts, with 50% less plastic in their packaging. The only patented system to noticeably repair extreme damage -- turn dry, brittle hair into soft, shiny, and more resilient hair.

Excellent experience with this salon for a women’s haircut. Anastasia listened, understood the look I was going for, checked in regularly through the cut, was focused and paid attention to detail to ensure my cut was perfect. She gave me tips for upkeep and what’s next as my hair grows and I’m looking forward to coming back here for all future cuts. Finally found a stylist I want to return to! The salon itself has a great ambiance and were very accommodating for booking my appointment.

I got my hair cut professionally for the first time in 2 years and decided to try this studio. I called and was able to get an appointment the same day due to a cancellation. Anastasia was great - she listened to what I wanted and made it work for my hair and face shape. The studio has a very relaxing atmosphere and I would come here again!

I was in search of a new hair stylist and I’m happy to say that I found one! My daughter and I saw Duc for the first time for a haircut, I also had a color consultation with him. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We both loved our haircuts! The salon was clean and had a nice vibe. Plenty of parking and food places around. I also purchased their hair products and received a discount as a new client.

I absolutely love this salon. The vibe is great and the staff are even better. Kristen owns her art and knows what will work for you. I love that if she recommends something - you never feel awkward if you decide not to, she is just the best. I trusted Kristen with chopping more than 15" off and loved the result. The salon is one stop shop, hair, lashes, and gorgeous clothing.

This salon is the perfect place to get pampered! It has great services, decor, it's comfortable -- & everyone has good vibes. Arla's expertise on hair colour gets you to your hair goals while maintaining hair health. I like to say she's a blonde wizard, however, she's so much more. She is wonderful, go see her!
