Beautiful, historic, and cozy place. They had Christmas decorations when we were there, which gave the place a very nice atmosphere

Beautiful place. Really, really beautiful in fact. The happy-hour was a nice touch but the upstairs patrons kept us up late and woke us very early. EXTREMELY heavy feet. Unfortunately, we left tired, and because the line for breaky was very busy and way too close for COVID comfort...we opted out and ate elsewhere. You may wanna insist on the top floor if you stay, but I would go back :-)

It’s where we stay when in Charlottetown (and not bringing the dog). Beautiful, unique rooms and separate apartment suites available. Wonderful ambiance and atmosphere inside and out. Great location. Top notch service. You won’t be disappointed!

A MUST! What an incredible property. We stayed for two nights and I feel like we missed so much of the hotel while we explored the city. The team that the Murphy’s have put together here are winners. The first person we met was Shannon and she took the time to chat and explain things to us that we wouldn’t have even thought to ask. Her introduction to the rest of the supporting cast was so seamless and awesome. This review could be way longer, but I’m going to split it into the many more times I will stay there in the future. I say that because we met a couple that has come there for over

Stayed here a few years back, long befor Covid started. I miss it. I miss the staff who took great care of us, I miss the charm of the rooms and I miss the whole atmosphere. If you’re thinking of staying here, enjoy it - I can’t wait to get back!

I have never written a review of a hotel but our experience at this hotel merits one. The staff were amazingly helpful. The concierge had previously mapped out routes around PEI with recommendations for food and shopping. Took the stress out of touring. Our room in the hotel was very large and gracious. Everything you would want in period hotel but with modern amenities. The location is ideal and you can walk to all downtown spots. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Centrally located, with ample parking. Great George is a cozy spot with nice, large, quiet, clean rooms. Appreciated the freshly baked cookies, availability of tea/coffee, and the breakfast - nice touch with the breakfast-to-go bags for us early-birds. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Have stayed here twice and continue to be impressed - will be back.

Very charming and quaint hotel. We were provided with a two story suite that was quite spacious and private. The bed was comfortable and the room had several amenities. The staff was very nice and helpful with attractions in the area and accommodating with things we needed. Additionally, the breakfast in the lobby was very satisfactory!

Any chain hotel is better than this including the breakfast that comes with the place. The lady that says the towels are fluffy, I thought they were similar to the brown paper towels that are in air port bathrooms. The rooms were very old a creaky and my lights would flicker as I walked across the room. I wouldn't recommend staying in this place if you are younger than 50.

This is such an incredible place. From the gorgeous decor to the little touches like Aveda products, huge fluffy towels. Equally good for a romantic stay or business. Excellent breakfast in the morning and happy hour every evening - both complimentary. The staff are wonderful every single visit. Consistent and awesome. Oh, and you are right in the middle of all the action - restaurants, theatre, shopping is all within strolling distance. I should mention also the warm, home made chocolate chip cookies they bring out all evening...you can't have just one...

Love love love this B&B! Wish we were staying for the week. We were given the king suite room 643. I love this room b/c it is clean, the bed is so comfy, nice view & cool loft w/tub & jacuzzi. There is a fireplace and the rate was very reasonable. Breakfast was a nicer than usual continental fare. Had a tiny quiche pies & the muffins rated like cake. Good coffee as well both in the room & at breakfast. There were touristy places to eat eat near the water but trendier more eclectic places on university!

The 'Great George' is a glorified bed and breakfast arrangement that has become a small institution in Charlottetown. It poses as a "boutique hotel", but anyone who has been to a successful boutique hotel in another destination will soon recognize that this term does not accurately apply to the 'Great George'.

However, the 'Great George' is well kept and lovely when the vacuum cleaner is not parked all day in the foyer of the building, as it was on our second day there.

The buildings are charming, and judging by their web site, the 'George&apos
