Services
The Harbour House (formerly known as Heritage Harbour House, ) is owned and operated by the Van der Gaag family. We have 20 years of hotel experience here on PEI, and have converted what used to be a small 4 room B&B, into the 21 room boutique hotel you see today. We work every year in ensuring that there is something new or updated for our guests to enjoy.
If you are interested in renting, or just have a few questions, please email us at [email protected], or give us a call at 1-800-405-0066. Sorry, no pets! All of our rooms include everything you need and are fully furnished, you just need to provide your own bed linens, towels, pots and pans! Our Standard Rooms contain 1 double bed, and they contain a large en-suite bathroom.
These are our most luxurious rooms we offer! These rooms contain hardwood flooring, a king sized sleigh bed, with 2 beautiful night stands, double sofa bed, coffee table, a desk, a wall mounted 40 inch LED television, with Cable tv, and DVD player. The room is also outfitted with a dining area, with a dining table, microwave, kitchenette with stove top and mini fridge.
These rooms are the most popular and have the option of having either 1 King and sofa bed, or 2 Queens. All of these beautiful rooms are located on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floor. These rooms are perfect for anyone, especially couples or families looking to cook their own meals. Each room is outfitted with a large 40 inch LED Television, connected to Digital Cable, and a DVD player.
These are very popular rooms. They offer tremendous comfort and splendor. Our traditional rooms contain 2 double beds, and include a private en-suite bath with either 4 pc. We have a Traditional room on the second floor, and another on the third. Both of these rooms contain air conditioning. Both are very different in terms of style, but both offer the exact same level of comfort and luxury.

Congenial hosts, spacious well-appointed rooms, and great location for walking to restaurants and shops on Charlottetown. One block from the sea. No elevator, so stay on first floor if stairs are an issue for you. Lovely place to stay in Charlottetown!

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip around PEI.

The first room we received was very clean and modern, with a microwave, hot plate, and fridge. Unfortunately, the room had a bad odor to it, as if someone had cooked fish in the room. The smell disappeared after a few minutes in the room, but every time we entered it hit us.

The second room we received at the end of our trip also had a kitchenette but was not nearly as modern. The space was a little more cramped. It was also above the breakfast room and it was very noisy in the morning.

Breakfast is included and there are

We stayed here for 1 night on a trip to Prince Edward Island. The location is excellent, in the heart of downtown Charlottetown. The location also gives guests much appreciated quiet and privacy. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast was good and tailored to our needs.

Great facilities, close to downtown, very friendly staff. Access to laundry $1 wash/dry, off street parking, very cute older style house, and elegant breakfast every morning with menu options on next picture. Recommend the waffles or omelette.

Very nice, modern suites that are extremely spacious and offer a lot of home style conveniences. Our family really enjoyed having the kitchenette. Located steps from the boardwalk and Beaconsfield House, which are both not to be missed!

The Harbour House is an absolutely lovely place to stay. The house itself is beautiful and well appointed, with a very nice dining area, a sunroom for relaxing in, and great rooms. The room we had was excellent, with comfortable beds and a nice built in kitchenette. The bathroom was great as well and had everything you could need. Breakfast was delicious with several choices respecting different dietary requirements. Staff was courteous and helpful and gave us great advice for what to see in the area. Highly recommend!

Centrally located and a very beautiful property. Breakfast is great and the front desk workers are wonderful. I had to take off one star as it is quite noisy between the rooms... request the top floor if you can as we are on the second and I can hear everything above me. Pipes also bang around a bit after a toilet is flushed or shower is running upstairs ... which can startle you at 6am!

This is a wonderful, large bed and breakfast in a gorgeous old home that has been expanded and renovated. It still has a quaint, chill atmosphere and many amenities (try saying that three times fast). There are DVDs to choose from, coffee and ice in the lobby anytime, and it is great walking distance to downtown and also Victoria Park.

We had a modest room, which was small, but perfectly adequate. There were a few different options on the breakfast menu, I got a breakfast sandwich. It didn't blow my socks off but it was very good.

The one mishap we had here is that we had to do laundry.

Located on a quiet street adjacent to downtown C'town, this enormous converted house is a wonderful place to stay. Rooms are spacious, clean, and quiet. My bed was wider than I am tall! Plus, it had a nice seating area, desk, and kitchen. The house also had various seating and social areas, as well as DVDs to borrow. The vibe was very chill and basically felt like a well-appointed college dorm. The breakfast was fantastic, no doubt thanks to graduates of C'town's culinary school. The hotel offers free off-street parking and a washer/dryer for just $1 each. I was sad to only stay

Large room with small balcony overlooking the back of the building and a HUGE jet bathtub. Great location in downtown Charlottetown. Within walking distance of many restaurants and attractions. The hot breakfast was good and there was a good selection of other breakfast options. The staff were awesome and I would happily return to The Harbour House.

This might be the biggest B&B I have ever stayed at. I think there are at least 20 rooms so its pretty large and that causes it to loose the imitate appeal which most B&B have.

I loved the fact that it is walking distance from downtown, the water front and the shopping area. So extra star for convenient location! The rate was also $125 for the small room during peak time which was good.

The house itself is very well decorated and kept. The room was very comfortable, really clean and had everything thing we needed in it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The info book in the room
