We selected Rasmussen Starr Ruddy for a corporate transaction because in our first interview the firm came across as highly professional, client-focused and collaborative. I recently used Melody McDonalds in a child custody case. Melody would not perform an emergency motion for me and my child, kept threatening me that she will no longer represent me. She kept sending me emails that had minimal information, she wouldn't use some of my evidence, She is also part of the same book club as my ex witch is a conflict of interest that I will be addressing. Also I found out that my ex reached out to another lawyer in the same law firm before i did going through some papers, that's another conflict of interest. I paid out to them approximately 50 000$ for absolutely nothing

Melody is by far the worst lawyer I have ever dealt with. She does not have any empathy, is looking to make as much money for herself as possible and leave you high and dry. For anyone looking for a first time lawyer, I promise that there are far better and kinder people out there that actually have your best interests in mind. Look at the reviews, it is either 5 stars or 1 star. Obviously the 5 stars are not clients of hers.

Avoid at all costs. Melody is all about taking your money .
She is greedy, cold and rude.
Met her in person twice, once in her office and once in a simple case conference and her bill was $13,000. Please google her name and look at her online reviews before hiring her (I sure wish I did)
She is a nightmare and will add to your stress more than your court case.
Very poor quality work and nothing to show for. AVOID
