Since the late '80s, we've been delivering exceptional eye care to patients in Kelowna and beyond. Along with our optometry services and extensive selection of sunglasses and eyeglasses, we've earned a reputation for being a positive force within our community. We're proud to serve patients of all backgrounds, needs, and abilities.
Family: Married to Stacey with a son Isaac and daughter Emma, related to half of Newfoundland. Member of BC's Children's Low Vision Project. Specialty Contacts Lens fittings, including scleral lenses & multifocals. Professional Interests: I have participated in eye care projects in Peru, Ecuador and India.
To quote Dr. Greg Wallace, we think it's important to "take care of the needs in our own backyard." We take every opportunity to make a positive impact on our community, from collecting donations for the food bank and sponsoring local sports teams to partnering with aid agencies to provide affordable eye care for the most disadvantaged in our community and beyond.
We generally recommend adult eye exams every 1 to 2 years, depending on your age and circumstance. We typically encourage an annual eye exam for our senior patients. However, we recommend a different schedule based on your personal needs. That said, if you're noticing any unusual symptoms or vision changes, please don't hesitate to make an appointment, regardless of when you had your last exam.
A large portion of children's learning takes place through vision. Catching and correcting vision problems can help your child succeed socially, academically, and athletically. When children come in for an eye exam, we do everything we can to make them comfortable and engaged. Our testing processes help us determine what vision problems children may be experiencing, even if they can't articulate the experiences for themselves.

I had the best first experience at Tutt Street Optometry. The staff was very friendly, punctual and organized. I met with Dr. Simair and had a fantastic experience. She was warm and welcoming, knowledgable and personable. She explained everything very well and didn't make the appointment feel rushed at all. You can tell she truly loves what she does and cares about her patients. I would recommend Dr. Simair to anyone who is looking for a new optometrist!!

Update on November 10th, 2021:
Apparently upon someone seeing yesterday's addendum, I got an email today, telling me that I should not have received the reminder and that the company owners had dropped the charges. So far so good - but why did nobody deem it prudent to inform their (ex-)customers of this?

Not only did Tutt Street Optometry not reply when I emailed them more than 2 weeks ago upon seeing their response post (which I mistakenly took for an olive branch), but they sent me a second

Called in As a regular of Tutt Street with an eye infection I have had it before , it’s always same prescription but Lady on phone very unhelpful , nothing we can do till Monday ... So you just leave a client in pain ? Not what you want to hear and will be looking for different optician post haste No compassion, I don’t care attitude ..I would stick away if I were you

Thank you Heather for fixing my husband’s glasses today. In the middle of the Covid -19 crisis and the clinic effectively closed, you replaced the arm on my husband’s reading glasses. And no charge! Thank you so very much!! We will be back to get new frames when this virus is over and you are back to full staffing.
