If you are looking for the REAL deal, look no further, Rod is the boss of the Greek food in North America, those words don’t get toss around for nothing.
He has over 45 years of experience!
Maria takes care of the front and does a fantastic job with a smile on her face.
Mythos is true gem in Edmonton and everyone should go.

The food here was very good last time I ate here but way to over priced. I decided to go back and restrictions were not being followed the woman who came to seat me was beyond rude telling me I couldn't eat three with my son because they only serve children 10 and over which my son is! Then wanted to seat us right beside another table almost touching in a packed restaurant. When I asked her fo a corner seat she said no and just walked away. I was in shock lol why would I spend my money in an establishment to be treated like that, no thanks!! Never again.

I stopped in to grab takeout this week and WOW!!! I've driven by a few times and decided to stop today for supper. We definitely will be back to try some of the other menu items. We tried the chicken souvlaki entree, Greek salad, pitas, and tzatziki. Service was welcoming and quick. The food was packaged great for transport. Next time we will stop to dine-in.

My husband and I went here tonight as a spur-of-the-moment choice because we wanted Greek food. We "hit the jackpot"! This is a delightful restaurant complete with friendly, efficient service, amazing food, (we had perfectly seasoned and cooked shrimp and chicken, homemade tzaziki,hummus and pita bread as well as they're homemade dessert, Bougatsa - all delicious!!) and a warm atmosphere that felt a bit like Cheers. (...a place where everybody knows your name")
There appeared to be many regulars, and those of us who were new to Mythos were made to feel like we belonged, too.

As fanatics of Greek food and having tried most Greek restaurants in Alberta, we can confidently say that Mythos Taverna is the absolute BEST! The platters are stunningly delicious with every single bite. Rod and Maria make you feel like family and the atmosphere is clean, warm and cozy. Best Greek food we’ve had in Edmonton! We usually come here for our special occasions & you can always expect delicious food leaving full. The service is amazing, owners are very friendly & we always come back for more. The lamb is our favourite dish!

I have to start with Maria and her family gave absolutely amazing service creating a fun environment throughout the whole meal.
Onto the food, Greek food is one of my favorites yet so hard to find quality and flavourful dishes. Mythos took that and completely surpassed anything I've tried. Everything had such a good taste from the appetizers through the dessert. We shared the taverna platter and was definitely filling for 2 people. Hands down the best lamb I've tried. Definitely give them 2 thumbs way up and can't wait to go back and try some more dishes!

Very delicious food. The atmosphere indoors n outdoors r great, almost get a feel of Greece eating in the restaurant. The owners r really friendly and excellent service. Although expensive(like 30$ a meal), it is definitely worth it. It looks to be a really heavy meal but the strong olive flavoring in the potatoes n rice helps lighten the meal, really yummy!!!

Amazing restaurant! Friendliest staff I've ever met at a restaurant! The food was delicious, I really want to go back here soon.
We Ordered:
The Lamb roast, which was so tender and juicy. Each bite melting in my mouth. The only thing that needed to be added was a bigger stomach to fit everything in!
Chicken Souvlak, which came with what looked like a home made tzatziki sauce. Perfectly grilled!
Greek Ribs, these were a nicely dry rub spiced rack that was fall off the bone delicious.
All dishes came with rice, potatoes (that are WOW amazing on their own), and a variety of vegetables.
