Tools in Motion Auto Service is an automotive repair business serving the Airdrie and Calgary area. We offer full, bumper-to-bumper service of most vehicle makes and models manufactured within the last 20 years, at great prices. Our service is warranty approved for newer vehicles still covered under warranty.
We provide diagnostic support and programming work to other local repair shops through our Tools in Motion Programming division. As part of the Confidence Plus network, we offer a North America-wide warranty on most repairs. Better equipped than most independent shops, we use much of the same diagnostics and programming equipment as your dealership.

Services
Tools in Motion provides service for most makes and models including general repairs, maintenance and inspections. We specialize in diagnostics, programming and electrical trouble shooting on late-model vehicles. Tools in Motion is a family owned business, operated by automotive service technician Tim Clark.
We offer complete vehicle service on all makes and models, including engine and transmission repairs, brake repairs, suspension, exhaust, interior work and much more. Whatever the job, big or small, you can count on Tools in Motion to repair your vehicle properly, and for a price that you can afford.
Every automotive repair company claims to want your fleet business - why wouldn't they? - but not every shop understands the unique needs of a business operating a fleet of company vehicles. At Tools in Motion, we've actually built our business on taking care of small to medium sized companies with fleets ranging from five to one hundred vehicles, and fleet maintenance still makes up a large amount of what we do.
Our grandparents' trusted old oil change interval of every 5000 km/3 months is outdated. Today's engines and engine oils are much better than in years past, and changing your oil this frequently is often a waste of money. We recommend following your vehicle's oil life monitor, if equipped. On vehicles without an oil life monitor, we recommend following the manufacturer's maintenance schedule, found in your owner's manual.

Took my vehicle in to see where my leaks were coming from. Got charged $330 for a diagnostic and inspection without anything actually being fixed. After i picked up my vehicle i found my power steering fluid completely empty. I got told it would be $1000 to get my engine lights turned off, it costed me $60 to do it on my own. Felt kind of taken advantage of being a young female. Will not be back or recommend

After paying $600 to fix my car diagnosis it wasn’t fixed. The issue showed up right after getting the car back. They kept making suggestions to fix things that had nothing to do with the original issue. Took it to a different shop and they fixed the problem for a fraction of the price the first time.
I would never go back. They 100% will try to scam you and take your money. go to a different shop.

Where should I start first? Woke up to a flat tire, inside side wall had a hole. Further investigation found parking brake cable that they changed, rubbed 2 holes into my tire. So had to buy 2 new rear tires. After looking at that noticed the differential cover leaking. They used rtv instead of a gasket.
These guys are a joke, the exact reason I do my own work and don't let a mechanic touch my stuff, because in the end I do better work then 90 percent of these so called mechanics.

Just had an out of province inspection. We originally called for a price and were advised that it was $200+tax. We were charged $200+$20 for shop supplies. Was told this was for rags, uniforms etc. We had to get the brakes done, fair, fronts didn’t pass. They gave me a price and checked around and I was surprised that it was cheaper to get them done at a VW dealer. We’ve been to Tools in motion several times and have always been satisfied by the level of service and fair pricing, we’ve even recommended family and friends to this establishment. But this kinda shocked me that getting the work

My car broke down on Highway 2 near Airdrie because the charging system failed. The dash alerted a charge battery alert. I knew instantly it was because my alternator just quit working. I was driving my parents to the airport, so I was in a rush. I called AMA and they mentioned Tools In Motion is a close shop they could tow my car to. I quickly checked the reviews online, they looked good, so I agreed to let them tow it there after-hours. The next morning, I'm back in Red Deer, at work. I called to check in with the shop. They seemed polite, and I was happy to hear they were already looking into

I have been going to Tools in Motion for a few years. I appreciate the staff and the comprehensive auto knowledge. When they check my vehicles they send a report card via email with pictures/video of what the see. I know right away what needs immediate attention and what can wait, allowing me to manage my costs. I am usually skeptical of the auto service industry but have found I can trust Brent and Tim to assist on the vehicles my family brings to them. It is worth the drive from Calgary to get the service they provide.

Prices are way too high. Got charged $173.20 for them to tell me that they could not find the noise my suspension was making... (to be fair it was not making it that day, likely due to wet conditions). However, when asked why so expensive was told because they "put onto hoist to inspect" and drove it a lot to listen. Not a review of service or anything else like that but thats ridiculous cost just for that, when LITERALLY nothing was done to my car...

I have dealt with Tools in Motion on a couple of different occasions, Tim the owner is excellent, Brent up front is outstanding. I recently dealt with Derek the new mechanic, highly skilled and very easy to speak with.
I highly recommend the team at Tools in Motion!! 10 out of 10 stars for sure...

I took my vehicle to these guys a couple weeks ago as there was an antifreeze leak and steering had a vibration at a speed over 80km/hr.
These guys charged me 236.19$ for telling me the following.
1: they have to disassemble the thermostat housing in order to find out where the leak was coming from.
2: they will have to replace all the ball joints and do an alignment and steering linkage does not appear to have been updated which I confirmed from the dodge dealership as it has been updated already.
3: all the U joints are in good condition.
I was told to take the vehicle home and they will

We have taken our Jeep Wrangler here several times now. The service goes above and beyond! Always fast, friendly, easy to talk to and fairly priced! They are honest and have treated my husband and I amazing. Has been so hard to find a good shop and takes so much stress off knowing we have found somewhere to take our Jeep we can trust! Will continue to use Tools in Motion! 5⭐️ 🙂👏🏻👍🏻🏆👊🏻

Had such an awful experience here. Came in to get my tail gate fixed on my 2007 Yukon. The first visit we spent $350 on parts and labor and it worked for 2 months, then quit. I wouldn't have fixed it again but now the new problem meant we couldn't open it. So I brought it in again....$375 later, it worked when I left the shop but again did not… last. I should have learned my lesson but I brought it back a 3rd time and again it was now something else that was not working. Well... its got 300,000 km and we would be lucky to get $8500 for it but I asked Tim ( the owner, I assume) for his advice

I took my car in because I was concerned about some noises coming from my wheel. They really went above and beyond and were incredibly thorough. Tim answered all my silly questions and came on multiple drives with me to ensure the problem was resolved. Tim really gave me (and my Dad) piece of mind. Thanks again!
