While synthetic motor oils can provide exceptional performance and protection, they don't eliminate the need for regular oil changes. High quality synthetic motor oils can perform and protect better than conventional motor oils, but engines running on gasoline or diesel will continue to naturally contaminate and stress the oil, and the additives can only work for so long.
There are a number of parts that are accessible without requiring the removal of the complete transmission. Many of the control parts including most of the electrical parts are serviceable by simply removing the oil pan.
The parts that are accessible, however, vary from transmission to transmission and most transmission repair facilities would hesitate to provide meaningful warranties on external repairs for the simple reason that they cannot see if there are any additional internal problems in the components that are only accessible by transmission removal.

I have been bringing my vehicles to Dan and the guys here for the past 15+ years and I have always been 100% satisfied. They have always: done what needed to be done, for the quoted price, and had it back to me in the time they said they would. I was asked to take a car I had for sale to Accurate Transmission for an inspection. They told me there was 10% left on the rear brake pads. When I asked if they removed the wheels, they said "no" and they used mirrors to check the brakes. I then went to my regular mechanic, who removed the wheels and showed me that the pads had 50%+ remaining.

Excellent service and advice. A rarity in my experience in the auto repair business. Most dealerships have commissioned sales people as service writers to sell you services, that very often, you do not need. I had a very last minute repair request for my differential making an extreme amount of noise just before vacation road trip. Doug and his team debugged the issue, fixed the differential bearings in haste, and at a reasonable price. I was able to leave on my road trip without an delays. Thank you very much for your great work.
Update: Had a leak around the differential over a year after initial service, they repaired it under warranty, even though the leak is most likely because of the age of the vehicle. Great service, highly recommend them.

These guys are great and really took care of my truck and my ex-girlfriends car.
Here new transmission got damaged as a result of a ford dealer mechanic leaving a loose bolt in the casing... The team were able to fix the case, cleaned of the gears and gave her a 1 year warranty! This was better and less expensive than working with the Ford dealer who caused the issue in the first place.

I knew Accurate would be good, because Erol's Automotive out in Cochrane has used and recommended them for transmission issues for years. When we were suddenly stuck with a dud transmission in a fairly new… car, Doug took us in as an emergency case, and got us out in under 10 days which, knowing how busy they were, was a small miracle! We thank him and his team for all their hard work, and the comfort of knowing they use quality parts in their rebuilds. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for transmission work!
