Terra Nova Public House
I wanted to let folks know that Terra Nova Public House will NOT BE OPEN FOR INDOOR DINING until further notice, despite our health unit moving to Red status. There are many reasons for this but the most important being the health and safety of our staff, our customers and our own family. We will continue to offer our daily chalkboard menu for takeout Wednesday through Sunday.

As soon as we feel the time is right, we will be thrilled to open our dining room and welcome you all back. We miss you. Located in the hamlet of Terra Nova Ontario, the Terra Nova Public House Restaurant and Pub offers a unique pub/country style dining experience. Our award winning chef Chris Torgis creates dishes that use only the freshest, highest quality ingredients sourced from local farmers.

Quality food in a unique setting. This isn't cheap and fast, but it's all the better for it. Service is outstanding. Best to come at lunch or dinner time. The kitchen tends to be switching gears mid afternoon and you won't have access to the specials, which are always worth a look.

Mediocre food, overpriced menu.
I have never been disappointed by a restaurant this much.
The salmon ($28) was probably the smallest piece I have ever had anywhere. It was sitting on a bed of lentils which were kind of tasteless, and topped with their extremely sweet chimichurri (which I found to be a super weird combination). The salmon was super fishy and gross. We told the server that we didn't like the salmon and wasn’t satisfied with it at all. She looked at us and said "but this is fresh Atlantic salmon!" As if she was offended that we didn’t like it. Salmon is my favourite type of

The place has a beautiful patio and it has a nice country charm. This was our second time dining just on our way to our cottage. The menu needs to be changed as does food presentation. The meat was over salted and when it was presented, it didn't look like we were dining out. It looked messy. The food is okay, was a bit dry and over salted and somewhat cold. We had ordered the ribs and the sauce on top felt like an after thought and it def was not worth the price we paid. I like to support local business esp in covid times but I've had better ribs at chain restaurants. I think if they paid better

Great atmosphere for a cozy evening in the winter (haven't been in summer yet) and the food is so good. Great beer on tap too but for sure try the charcuterie board.

In the heart of Mulmur lies this gem of a pub that plays second home to many locals. The cozy decor is like an eye-spy book of vintage curio and eccentric salt-and-pepper shakers; the staff are always welcoming, warm, and attentive; and the food is delicious every time. We find the prices very reasonable for the quality of food and the efforts to incorporate locally sourced ingredients. When the sun is shining - and the weather allows - park your dreary rump at a table on the patio and enjoy the sweet fresh country airs. Highly recommended!

Beautiful setting, great location. While we have been to the public house several times, sadly, we were disappointed this time around.

The food was overpriced for what we were served- charcuterie was a small bowl of olives, a small bowl of cheese , four pinky finger sized sausages that were seasoned with only cumin and some over-buttered baguette- for $15! The pizza, made with the same cumin-sausage, was $13 and smaller than the size of small dessert plate.

Service was fast but disorganized. Our waitress forgot it requests and couldn't recall the draft list (of only 4 beers) for the life

Wonderful surprise nestled in a beautiful area.
Visited this establishment post MTB race at Mansfield conservation. It came highly recommended by the guys as they've eaten here in the past. It didn't disappoint.

Drink special was gin based - thumbs up. That it was a well prepared and flavorful drink - two thumbs up.

Had the green salad with cider vinegar dressing, which was a treat. Nice to know there are those who know how to use cider vinegar properly. I'm a salad nut and this was simple, yet awesome.

Next up was the pot pie, which was presented very uniquely - with the

Excellent food - it gets better every time we eat there. Simple delicious menu, lovely people who work there, pleasant atmosphere and quaint patio out back. Nice place to stop for lunch and a drink - a little treasure!

Beautiful little green patch in the back (would be great if there was a little play yard so we could keep the kids busy and stay a little longer ;) )

A friend brought me to dinner at Terra Nova on a Saturday night in late August, 2015 and the first thing that struck me was the intimate setting. The property was lit up nicely and a waterfall and pond beckoned. Outside, a patio overlooks the pond, the waterfall and a pretty valley. Inside, a rustic, casual atmosphere awaits, with wood-beamed ceilings, quaintly carved wooden chairs, benches and tables, and dim lighting. A bar sits on one side of the dining room. My group was greeted by a lovely young waitress and we were seated at a table inside.

I ordered the soup of the day, which was French
