Daily flossing, the use of the Water Pik system or the use of GUM picks is crucial to maintaining your dental health, as it reaches places in your mouth a toothbrush simply cannot. This is an important foundation for healthy gums, leading to a healthy mouth and body. We recommend the Water Pik system, as it is 2x more effective than flossing and provides the best results.

Dr Helia is an incredibly kind and compassionate dentist. As someone who is very anxious going to the dentist, I felt very safe and comfortable with her - she took the time to explain the procedure I was having done, and made sure to connect with me throughout my appointments to ensure I had breaks and the support I needed. The office itself has very friendly staff, appointments are easy to book, and the office is clean and bright and uses top of the line technology. Very happy with finding this dentist!

The staff of By The Lake Dental in Highland Creek are incredible. Friendly and knowledgeable, they made me feel totally at ease before and after my appointment. Dr. Patricia and her assistant were amazing, very gentle and patient, and gave me their utmost attention - almost as if I was the only person there. Highly recommended for any dental need. 10 out of 10!

Dr. Afson Ferdosmakan told me I had 5 cavities, was urging me to get them filled ASAP. This was a few months after I was told I had no cavities after getting fillings from another dentist. She made me feel like an idiot for asking her to point them out to me. After this, I got opinions from other dentists, including a family member, who told me I indeed have no cavities. Dr. Afson Ferdosmakan also bad-mouthed a patient before me, alluding to the fact that the patient was dumb for taking a shot of apple cider vinegar daily. What happened to patient confidentiality? They are so expensive, basically burned through my entire coverage getting a cleaning, two fillings and some xrays. Visit 1 (cleaning and xrays $518)
Had to go to an Endodontist to get my filling removed as I needed a root canal (a month later), and the Endodontist told me the filling had completely deteriorated. Didn't believe I'd had it as recently as I told him. The front office staff are very nice here but I would avoid this dentists. So disappointed.

I have just had another great appointment at By the Lake Dental - Highland Creek. I waited for my 5th appointment before writing a review --- just to see if they would disappoint me, AND THEY HAVEN'T ! Everything about this Dental experience caters to my comfort as a patient, while providing the best dental services i have ever experienced.
Reception, Hygienists and Dentist are all friendly and focused on my comfort and care. They very clearly take personal interest in me and really care about my overall health as well as my oral health

I’ve been seeing Dr Patricia for over 3-4 years now and I always loved their services. This year in 2019 I decided to swap dentists due to the distance but I did not have the best experience. So I decided to come back and it was the best decision ever made... even though I still have to drive 50km to get there plus the traffic. The professionals there treats you with attention and respect, and even spoil you. Lol. The place is modern with last generation equipment, they bill direct to your insurance and they are open late on week days... because, c’on, who wants to have to skip half day at

It has been quite some time since I’ve visited a dentist. Overall, I’ve just had bad experiences over the years. I was looking for a dentist and came across Dr. Andrea Tagliaferro’s practice. I decided to give it a go, and immediately I was at ease. The office itself is gorgeous, it's only 2 years old. My experience with all the staff was great, everyone was warm and seemed to genuinely enjoy their time there. Extremely passionate about their jobs − It's nice to enter a dental office and hear laughter. I am excited to have finally found my dentist, & it's only a few minutes away from home

The staff/professionals at By the Lake Dental provide an excellent, patient-centered experience! Everyone was very professional, and accommodating. Dr. Andrea Tagliaferro gave me the very best care possible. She took the time to explain the plan for my series of dental procedures from the beginning, and made sure each one of them were as pain free as possible. She fixed a major problem for me very skillfully and with the latest technology and methods, and I couldn't be happier with the results and experience as a whole. The doctor is very rude. Doesn't take time to talk to the patient.
I went for a root canal. She didn't ask me if I'm still having the pain or not. She didn't look at my X-ray.
I asked her have you looked at my x Ray since I never consulted with the doctor last time.
She said very rudely she knows what she is doing. She kept talking back with me like I never went to an dentist before in my life.
I refused to do my dental work there and got out.
