Pirate was so helpful and professional. He explain how the unit works and what to look out for. He mentioned plans Reliance has in place but was not pushing for me to sign up for it which I liked, as I don't like being pressured. Very friendly and approachable person, would gladly have him back for more work if needed.

Receive A tag from Enbridge for 'gas leak'. Coldest night of the year. Fortunately Reliance provider was able to assess the situation quickly. While other providers insisted we needed a new 'gas valve' the Reliance provider did not feel that was the case given the new state of the entire furnace. A series of tests were performed on the furnace and it was determined that in fact there was no leak. These tests took over 1 hour and included testing both inside and outside the house. The provider was very professional and thoughtful. Problem was resolved and they took care of the A tag response as

Had problems with a switch on my hot water tank so contacted Reliance for a service call. Was able to book a technician at a time that worked for my schedule. Technician was prompt, friendly and solved the problem in 10 minutes. Super efficient and I am thrilled with the service level especially during COVID. 5 stars!!!

Were not able to give me any direction over the phone to diagnose the problem, all has to be done onsite (which could save both me and Reliance a ton of time). Turns out the part that is broken needed to be ordered and all of their warehouses are shut down for the holidays meaning I can not get my water heaters fixed for 3 more days meaning no hot water for a full family for 3 days.
As an company that operates essential home services, I would expect that they are prepared for this even during the holidays. I understand this is their supplier, not Reliance, but this is a terrible customer experience

We booked an appointment about a month ago to have our dishwasher looked at and repaired... A day was taken off work to make sure someone was home for the four hour window for the technician to arrive... No technician. Called and was told that they would look into it and call back Two hours go by and we call back... turns out that one of the plumbers had become unavailable. NO ONE CALLED TO LET US KNOW. we have been told that we will have to book another appointment... which the soonest we can expect is ONE MONTH away.

So we are out a days pay. We still are no closer to having our problem

I think the pictures speak for themselves.
In late April 2021 we contacted Reliance for a quote on a furnace replacement. On the phone, were told the new, energy efficient furnace could vent through our chimney like our old furnace (we are in a row house so venting the pipe on a side wall isn't an option). When the installer came, he said that wasn't possible and insisted we need to vent through the backyard. As we are not HVAC experts, we went with his advice and booked another date for the completion of the install.
