Scam.
First of all, the company isn't based in Ottawa. The area code of the phone number is 613, however, after talking to the police officer (that the company CALLED AGAINST ME) I was informed that the company was based in Texas! Horrendous service. They are the parent company of 3 other small towing companies all based in Texas.
Second, they came an 1.5 hours late. Which would be fine if they had helped fix my car!
And Last but not least, they threatened to charge me $3 per minute while I was negotiating with the man. The man was completely controlled by the dispatcher, every second of the

I call them and within two minutes I decided to cancel as I found out another way to be towed when my car broke down. As I go to cancel on the phone, I get transferred to the driver who tells me I must pay $85 as I made him take myself over other customers he could have taken. No respect for how I'm a young man in school trying to get by with the repairs I had to pay. Terrible experience with that driver.

Genuinely phenomenal service! I very seldom write reviews but the service I received from them merited my wanting to support them. I've used Capital Towing on two different occasions and each time I was blown away by their kindness, helpfulness, and expedience. Both the dispatchers and technicians were really friendly and - most importantly - competent. On both occasions the technician arrived at my car less than 20 minutes after I requested the service. The cost of the service was exactly how much I had been told it would be by the dispatchers and it ended up being less than what I had been quoted

I use Capital towing flatbeds to move machinery very regularly for my company. They are very fast to respond to our stringent time frame requirements and the pricing is very competitive and fair for the exceptional service offered. Even when my personal vehicle broke down on the 417 in rush hour they managed to get to me very quickly. Trucks are always clean and newer and drivers are bilingual well trained and courteous. 5 stars and will continue to use their service.

Excellent service from the initial phone call to the driver. I requested a flatbed for my audi to be towed (the only way it can be towed). The driver who showed up was very nice and helpful, he suggested to boost the battery after trying to start the car. This was all it needed and a cheap price to pay rather than having it towed, I appreciated his honesty and knowledge.

BEWARE!!! They ask you for a credit card number before they send a tow truck. No towing company has ever asked me for a credit card number in the past 40 years! The dispatcher said it would be a charge of between $59 and $89. When the driver dropped off the vehicle at the dealer, he said the cost is $172.50. So I was overcharged by about about $100. That's more than double the initial quote for no apparent reason. If I don't pay the driver, they just charge your credit card. So you are forced to pay whatever they feel like charging you. The distance travelled was about 4 kms. That's about $43 per

I have never in my life reviewed a business, much less left negative reviews, so let's start there. If zero stars were possible that is what I'd pick. My car key fob malfunctioned and found myself in the terrifying situation of having my 2 year old daughter locked in the car on a snowy winters day in Ottawa. I called capital towing to try to get help, but they told me it was a police matter so for this situation I was to call them instead. Coincidentally there was a police car across the parking lot, and when I told him what was going on, he informed me that they don't have the equipment

Do NOT call this company!!! They tell you they will be between 10 - 15 minutes, and they didn't show up. After over an hour and a half wait, the police finally called another tow company for us. They take your credit card when you call so if you cancel, they will still charge it.

I recently received a tow from Capital Towing due to a flat tire. Unfortunately I did not have a spare tire and therefore needed my car to be towed. The dispatcher on the phone was quick to take down all the necessary information and dispatch the driver out to assist me. They arrived in a short amount of time, reassured that everything will be okay and did a great job with the tow to the nearest Canadian Tire. The price of the tow was good, less then what I expected. All in all, great customer service and recommend to those who need similar service.
