I have gave them a 3 star because I think they have a little room for improvement. We stayed here on a couple of occasions though out the years. The first stay was so very disappointing 😞. The room was filthy and outdated. I had always wanted to stay and that was the first impression. On our 2nd and 3rd stay however we stayed on the second floor and absolutely loved the room 😍 . We told them of out experience and they gave us a updated room. But definitely did not leave a lasting impression.

Well first off the old fashioned was phenomenal. My wife and I had cheese and Bread and 8 margaritas. The gnocci melted in my mouth it was like Christmas all over again/
My server was Fran and she was absolutely excellent. She deserves a raise.

It is listed on the historical register... It is very old and stately. High ceilings and gilded woodwork throughout! The rooms are large and spacious as well! However, there was a strange decor choice in my room of a life-size dog! It felt like he was staring at me the whole time...

Fantastic venue for our wedding and hotel stay for ourselves and our guests. Stunning architecture and beautiful history to this building! Heated parkade is a plus and surprisingly rare in this cold city! Clean, friendly and great well-priced food. Only wish it would join a hotel group like Marriot or Hilton to make booking/points/advertisements easier.

My biggest factor about a hotel is the comfort of the bed. I want to sleep well when I’m on work or vacation traveling. This hotel had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve been in in all of my travel around the world. Reference my photo (sorry the beds a mess that’s on me!) to see how plush the bed and sheets are. It gets better from there. All of the staff were wonderful, the room was homey, I like the old royal feel to the place and the lobby is exquisite. The hot water is immediate which is wonderful when weather outside is below 0 degrees. This is weird to say but the soap smells great

Received dinner in the Crystal Ballroom for a wedding. The wait staff kept me informed about all courses of the dinner regarding my allergy. This was the best handling of my allergy by any restaurant and made me feel safe while being able to enjoy the evening.

Conveniently placed near the Manitoba Club, this well located historic hotel made a great place to rest after my wife and I enjoyed our vow renewal celebration with local family and friends. Staff were welcoming and accommodating, and the food through room service was worth it. Thanks to the staff.

Worst customer service ever. Having made a reservation as we plan for a funeral; the terms of the reservation were not identified as non-changeable. Coming from California we looked for a hotel. Less than 18 hours later we found that the hotel was not in a great location for the funeral and requested a cancellation. We spoke with the hotel for 2 hours and were told that even though the change was requested less than 18 hours after the booking and more than 3.5 weeks in advance of the booking. The hotel said there was no compassion or flexibility to their clients suffering through a death in

Sure wasn't as expected. Rooms are tired. Room smelled of mildew.
No pool as there is a new owner and they no longer have a relationship with the building they are attached to. No wheelchair/stroller access. Only very basic amenities. Barely enough parking considering the cost. I expected so much more. Still pretty neat but not worth it.

The hotel staff (including the dining facility) are very courteous, friendly, and professional. They were able to do the little extras to accommodate our needs especially when it was my wife's birthday on that weekend. The hotel rooms are clean, HUGE, and very relaxing. The Ten Spa at the top floor is an experience that I want to repeat. This made our staycation well worth it!!!

I'd recommend The Fort Garry to anyone. It's an absolutely gorgeous hotel and the beds are so, so comfortable. Oh, and the rooms have robes in them so you can feel extra fancy.

Allegedly the hotel is haunted. I stayed in the room next to the haunted room (202) but didn't have any ghostly visitors. Maybe next time.

Beautiful building!! Took my nephew and my mom to Winnipeg for a weekend and wanted them to have a nice experienced and this hotel definitely gave them the experienced I wanted them to have. My nephew enjoyed it so much that he said that coming to Winnipeg and staying at this hotel was the highlight of our vacation )we were vacationing at ND and MN). The room we had had 2 double beds and the room was very spacious. I was also impressed with the bathroom! So white and clean!! The beds were comfortable but I think the bed frames needed to be changed as they make a lot of squeaky sounds but I didn

We took a few day family trip to Winnipeg and I stayed at the Fort Garry Hotel for the following reasons:
- wanted a downtown location
- my kids wanted a hotel with a pool
- I knew this type of hotel (old & historic & grand) would be a different experience

The kids were amazed at the size and grandeur of the hotel when we pulled up. Once on our floor, you see that the hallways are wide and the walls, doors, etc. are probably original or at least very old. The room blends modern & old, with comfortable wrought-iron beds and a big TV. The bathroom was white tile on the floor and walls

The place to stay if you are visiting Winnipeg! Intelligent and kind staff. Clean and unique room. The bar/restaurant on the main level had a variety of great taps, wines and liquors. They also had a live band. Walking distance to the Forks. Complimentary coffee and tea in the morning. Rave reviews about the breakfast.

Loved this hotel. Historic site, walking distance to Forks Market. The rooms were very cozy and well appointed. Very comfortable beds. Beautiful bar area for good cocktails and appetizers. The included breakfast was really wonderful with two chefs attending to individual orders and fresh pastries as well as pretty much everything you could ask for.

A very cool hotel in a very cool location. A really cool entrance in a grand hotel with a great looking lobby all around. Lots of meeting rooms/space and great food.

The rooms are "ok" and the beds really arent all that comfortable. My bed moved across the floor when I rolled over. But the bathrooms are updated and clean, the service is quick and friendly. Overall a great experience.

The hotel is beautiful, outside and in. Historic. We were in what looked to me as a newly renovated room. The reason for losing the 5th star is the bathroom was dated and not part of the remodel. It was odd. The staff were incredible, the room was quiet, and the bed was comfy. The food was good. We had lunch at the Palm Lounge and the food was good but the staff was overwhelmed. Bread and butter came with the meal versus tiding is over during the wait for it. Great hotel, city is amazingly friendly. Had a great stay.

I love this hotel. I'm so many ways it's unchanged from the past but very current in terms of service and luxury. So wonderful and a great location-a throw back to when people stayed there while traveling by train. Great room and great service. I loved it.

I've stayed here multiple times, and each time is excellent. I've been in hotels and spas around the world. The TEN SPA has the most incredible services and I've had them all!

Solid three star accommodations in The Peg. Nice view overlooking the Forks, the main tourist hub of the town. The hotel is one of the grand Railway hotels built in the Golden age of railway travel in the early 1900s. It is an amazing gothic baronial style, complete with a grand two story lobby and ballroom on the 7th floor. In terms of amenities, the hotel is connects to a condo and they share a fitness centre together with a massive pool. Only downside is the corridors are a bit dated and could do with a refresh of the paint and carpets. The rooms are perfectly fine.

Gorgeous historic hotel in downtown Winnipeg.

Check in and valet staff were impeccable and we felt more than welcomed upon arrival.

I was absolutely blown away by our 2 room suite, with full dining room and living space.

Bathroom was a tad outdated, but the bedroom more than made up for it and I felt like I was sleeping in a 1920's mansion.

Since our stay really only called for about 6 hours of sleeping, we opted to skip the bar downstairs (which I hear is quite lively...with an older crowd).

Historic hotel with a modern touch

The Fort Garry was a beautiful hotel. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with any questions. The room was cozy and most importantly COMFORTABLE. Bathrooms were stocked with full-sized L'Occtiane products and cotton robes for lounging. Room service was quick and delicious from the Palm Lounge downstairs (I recommend the mushroom quesadillas and pecan pie.)

This hotel has a lot of history, since it was built in 1913. If you're a stickler for modern hotels you probably shouldn't stay here, BUT if you really want to appreciate

I set the smoke alarms off with the steam from my shower. That has never happened before and I've stayed in LOTS of hotels. It was a little bit embarrassing.

Gem of a hotel in downtown Winnipeg. Staying here was like taking a step back in time, and I loved all the character details that make this hotel so special. Yes, the rooms are a little old, but this is part of the charm.

Personal highlights included the service, which was comparable to staying a Fairmont. We were in town for a wedding, and the front staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The food exceeded my expectations in the restaurants too. Definitely try the Reuben sandwich if you're from out of town - it's meat-lover's paradise, complete with a juicy

I was quite pleased with my stay here. The hotel is historic and beautiful, but with that comes some quirks of old hotels. The rooms are smaller and the one I was in didn't have good water pressure and only got hot water from the sink.

The breakfast was very delicious and the gym was great!

This hotel is quite dated, but it has a bit of charm to it. It feels like a real hotel with an old school lobby and even though it's old and has a weird dilapidated staircase they hide behind curtains, I thought it was pretty nice.

My bed was insanely soft, and not in a good way. I would sink right into it and it was horrible for my back. I raised the issue and they brought in a "bed board" to firm up the bed for me. It was too big for the bed, but not a big deal. It was just a little bed for one person. I got a room for one adult, so that's fine. Would I have liked a bigger
