Services
Dr. Ruud is a Registered Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedist. She has been practicing orthodontics for over 20 years. Born in rural Alberta, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Alberta, Diploma in Orthodontics from the University of Toronto, as well as her Fellowship in the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
The office is closed on weekends and major holidays, as well as at times when Drs. Ruud, Flores-Mir and staff are attending continuing education seminars. At Diane Ruud Orthodontic Associates, our mission is to provide current and scientifically based information to our patients so they can make choices based on their own individual needs.
We offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs. Our office accepts payments by cash, cheques, debit cards, Visa and MasterCard. We also offer no-interest financing through our office and a discount for multiple family members in treatment to make your treatment more easy and affordable. We are always excited about meeting new patients during their first visit to our office. Your initial appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options. This important 30-minute visit will give us insight into your orthodontic needs. We know your time is valuable, so to expedite treatment, we may also reserve time following the exam for diagnostic records.
No, it is not. Many of our patients are referred by their family dentist, yet many other patients take the initiative to schedule an examination themselves. The American and Canadian Associations of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic screening at age 7. By this age, several permanent teeth in most children have erupted, allowing us to effectively evaluate your orthodontic condition.
