Dr. Burke was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and Ottawa. In her career pursuit, she enrolled in the pre-dentistry program at the University of Alberta in 1981 with her major as chemistry. After two years in this program, Dr. Burke was accepted into the dentistry program at the University of Alberta.

Amazing office and the staff as well ! Dr. Jonelle is such an carrying and considerate person… of course prices are not the same as a regular dentist but the care you receive is top notch. First of all their prices are about 25 to 50 % higher than other places. Waiting times are ridiculous. I called about about suffering pain and constant bleeding and they didn't seem to care. I asked them to take my braces off I don't want them anymore and they wanted to charge me $1500 for that.... No thanks, that is completely ridiculous. I am so done with this company. I would love to say so much more, but I have my own reputation to worry about.

Much more expensive than other places. I complained that the braces they installed are too sharp and my mouth is bleeding, they gave me wax to fix. I have toughed it out as long as I am willing, about 3 months of bleeding mouth... cant be healthy right? So I asked them to remove the braces then.... Told me it will cost me another $1200! Twelve hundred dollars?! Doesnt the $9000 already include removing the braces anyways? Wow, I highly recommend avoiding this place.

My 2 years of invisalign treatment with them has been great and comfortable. You can really feel the level of care and attention they provide to make sure you get the smile you want. Dr. Crichton and her team are very friendly, professional and approachable, the atmosphere in the clinic is cozy. You want to get a great smile? If yall need to get your braces done, get them done at Smile Worx Orthodontics :) They have an awesome team. I love how the staff are always full of energy and really professional. If you have a child that’s scared of dental appointments, they can definitely make your child’s experience lighter. Very accommodating to my needs as a patient, they really go above and beyond. bonus: they play good songs during appointments :)

Thank you times 1000! Your team rocks. My bottom retainer fell out recently and I called around to many orthodontic offices in the city without any luck. I needed a fast fix before my teeth started to move considerably, and Smile Worx saved the day. They fit me in quickly as they could (which happened to be the next day with a cancellation! lucky me!). They replaced my old wire (bottom) retainer with a brand spanking new one and did it all within my one appointment. The staff were friendly, helpful, and just all around lovely! Thank you so much! I will be going back here to get another retainer

My son and I were/are clients. I will say that the front desk staff is friendly and welcoming. That said, after errors and issues including my son having to have two of his front teeth extracted, I moved him to another orthodontist (where we are much happier). I am still a client, as I am at the end of my treatment, but they overbook so atrociously that I have been waiting to be seen since October. I had to cancel two appointments because of work, giving considerable notice, and each time was rebooked 4-6 weeks later. Got my braces removed in January 2017. I remember asking to please keep them on, as there had obviously still been spaces between my top and bottom teeth. I was told that these spaces would "close with my natural bite," which didn't make sense to me then and doesn't make sense to me now, as I'm sure the purpose of braces is to fix smiles (including CLOSING spaces). . . It's now been 2 years, the space is still there!

I brought my 8 year old daughter in as she has some obvious alignment issues. Right from the time I walked in the door the staff was friendly and made her feel at ease. Dr. Crichton and her team were informative and showed a genuine level of care while discussing our options. I left with a plan in place and my daughter excited for the next steps. I will start with the really pleasant atmosphere and office itself: if you like mesmerizing art, there is Kandinsky on the wall in the waiting room and if you prefer art on your phone, there is free wi fi. Everything is super clean and tidy, space is divided nicely and in such a way that it really feels like a big family home. Then, all the staff… members (I can see from the picture that I've met almost all of them :)) are very friendly and very professional. I am so pleased with my results and quality of service. I feel very comfortable asking any questions, the staff are very knowledgable and kind. The doctors are always very attentive to me at each visit. I highly recommend anyone interested in improving their smile call and make an appointment. I am glad I did, I was always apprehensive of treatment as an adult but I was given many options without the pressure and push.
