Our four-week rotating seasonal menus feature whole foods which are prepared daily on-site. I followed my passion for education and became both an Ontario Certified Teacher and a Registered Early Childhood Educator.

Young children between the ages of 18 months and 2.5 years are like sponges, constantly absorbing knowledge from their environment. Services
Learning Garden Childcare (formerly known as Teddy Bear Educare) has been established in the south Etobicoke community since 1999. We are located south of Islington and Bloor in a large, bright, and clean facility that provides a caring and stimulating space for children to grow.
We believe that the early years are the most important, and strive to give each child the best foundation possible through a variety of experiences and learning opportunities.We foster and enable growth by designing our curriculum around the individual's interests and needs while also providing a nurturing and caring environment.

Our four-week rotating seasonal menus feature whole foods which are prepared daily on-site by our in-house kitchen team and exceed all of the guidelines in the Child Care and Early Years Act. The menus were designed by a Holistic Nutritionist in consultation with a Registered Dietitian specifically for Learning Garden Childcare.
The team at Learning Garden Childcare is comprised of professional and qualified RECEs and ECAs. Each member is carefully chosen for their warmth, enthusiasm, experience and love of children. We pride ourselves on our low turn-over and have built long lasting relationships with families and the community.
Learning Garden Childcare provides a play-based child-centred curriculum where children learn through play with activities related to their daily life experiences. The Educators create weekly programs based upon the collective needs and interests of the children, which are also documented for families to view and provide input.

Possibly the worst behavior from a person running this childcare. We've been trying to reach out to so called "director" name lily for the past few days and we were always told that she's busy. Somehow I managed to get a hold of her and she abruptly told me they're busy and don't have time. If the person running this place don't respect the time of others well I'm wondering what kind of learning they're giving to young kids. I'm glad we didn't put our kid in this day care, sometimes even google reviews can be deceiving.

Highly recommend this centre. The supervisor is incredibly organized and helpful. Her team drew from the suggestions of our resource consultant and implemented them successfully. The ECE's were crucial in building a constructive learning environment for my child and in the development of smooth transitions from day to day. The resource consultant that we received has been the most incredible support for my child. She knows everything there is to know about my child's extra needs. We are truly so grateful for her expertise.

My twin daughters spent a year at the Learning Garden before going to JK. They loved every day they spent there and always were bringing home stories of what they learned or did each day. The teachers and administration at the Learning Garden were professional and, at the same time, so caring and sweet. They were always eager to update me with details of my kids' days and activities. The food they served to the kids was so varied and healthy, I was always confident my kids were getting great nutrition. I can't say enough great things about the Learning Garden - they provided the safest, most comforting

Our kiddo loved their time at Learning Garden Childcare! All of the faculty and staff are warm, friendly, and engaging/engaged. Everyone really cares about the kids and it shows. Tons of activities and space. The in-house cooked meals (fresh every day!) helped our picky-eater expand their palette and for that we'll always be grateful! The director, Lily, is incredibly responsive - I always received an immediate reply to any inquiry I sent her, and parents were updated as soon as any new/important information came up. My son attended Learning Garden this past year, and we couldn't have asked for a better childcare experience - it far exceeded our expectations! The teachers are all wonderful - gentle, compassionate and nurturing; they cultivated a fun and inviting learning environment where my son was enthusiastic to learn new things and build new skills. Meals were always healthy, varied and delicious and cooked fresh by a dedicated cook on site. If you are looking for a professional child-care centre with the most amazing staff where your child will be happy and receive the best care then look no further!

We sent our 18 month old to Learning Garden daycare – now aged two (Toddler Room). We are so fortunate to have chosen this daycare for our little one. The exponential growth in speech, interaction, motor skills and social skills have been overwhelmingly positive. The teachers are phenomenal, so caring, energized, positive and just amazing with the children. We would recommend this daycare to anyone and have referred many others with young babies to hurry up and get on any future waitlist!

Both my kids went to this daycare from toddler room all the way to after school program until age 6. It feels like home. Both kids loved going there, transitions were smooth, and I could tell when I talk to staff that they genuinely care. The first thing my son tells me when I pick him up is what he had for lunch and snacks. The food menu is super nutritious and apparently also delicious. The new covid measures are very reasonable and we feel safe sending the kids there. While the parents are not allowed inside any more, the staff take the time to give an update to every parent at drop off. Lots

Our son just graduated from Learning Garden and he misses it alot. We are so happy our daughter is currently there and we didn’t have to say goodbye for good. The staff are excellent and Lily is a pleasure to work with. The food cooked by Mira is delicious according to my son and daughter. Especially during this global pandemic the learning garden staff and admin have made the return experience flawless and comfortable. We can’t thank them enough.

Excellent, friendly and supportive staff. Very professional. The caregivers are a pleasure to deal with, and they are very engaging with all the children and parents. I really love this place, the type of food they served, the activities, how they deal with kids, and how they teach. My daughter really has a fantastic experience.
