Welcome to Alderbuds Child Care Centre, a not-for-profit daycare centre in the city of Toronto. We've been providing care to children for more than 25 years in our location in the Etobicoke Civic Centre. We welcome children from infants to preschoolers, and we would be happy to hear from you. Each of our staff members has a track record of caring for children for at least five years - and as many as 25-plus years - at our centre.

Our programs offer a wide range of activities to help your child grow, such as music, arts and crafts, stories, water play and other sensory activities. Infants, toddlers and preschoolers each have their own outdoor space, equipped with play structures, toys and shade canopies. Alderbuds Child Care Centre is named after alders, the trees that are the symbol of Etobicoke.
Services
Choosing a child care program for your child is a very important decision, and we are pleased that you are interested in learning more about our centre. Alderbuds Child Care Centre opened in 1989. We are proud to have been providing care to children in our community for more than 25 years.

To provide high-quality child care in an inclusive, non-discriminatory, healthy and safe learning environment that fosters overall development and supports children's individual needs and abilities, by working collaboratively with families and employing a professional team of responsive Early Childhood Educators.
Alderbuds is an independently operated, not-for-profit child care centre located in the Etobicoke Civic Centre, at the corner of Burnhamthorpe and the West Mall. Our space has been newly renovated to better accommodate changing needs for child care services after full-day kindergarten programs began in schools.
Our staff members are committed to creating a welcome and happy environment for your child. The experience, dedication and caring of our staff members comes through in everything we do. Each of our full-time staff members has a track record of caring for children in our centre for at least five years - and as many as 25-plus years!
Across all age ranges, our programs provide a child-centred environment where each child is encouraged to actively explore through play. A wide range of activities and materials are available for children to enhance and promote independence, as well as to encourage individual creativity. We believe the way a child plays with and manipulates materials - the process the child uses - is more important than the final outcome or product.
Our infant program is a flexible curriculum that is child specific. We use developmental checklists to ensure that children are meeting developmental milestones while striving to ensure that the child's biological needs are met. Our curriculum maximizes children's ability to explore using their senses.
