I want to welcome you to the beginning of something that might be very helpful, even life changing. I know that the counselling door is a difficult one to open; it takes great courage to ask for help. Congratulations for making it this far. On my website you will find information about me and insight into some specific problem areas.

I hope you find this useful. I've also included information to help you choose a therapist because I want you to find the person that is right for you. If you are exploring yourself and your life here are some questions that may help you decide if you need therapy. I specialize in depression, anxiety and stress, relationship issues, alcohol and drug problems, low self esteem, abuse of all kinds, and all situations of trauma, illness and death.
Services
I have had the pleasure and the honor to work as a counsellor for more than 20 years. What I want you to know first and foremost is that my work comes from the heart and that I care. My focus is on you and your growth. This is always the most important thing. I also want you to know that I am experienced and well qualified to do what I do.
Who wants to change? Many of us do. We have small parts of our lives that are unfulfilling or blocked. We find ourselves unable to risk, unable to communicate, or even unable to hope. We get overlooked or avoided at the office, we lose a relationship or a marriage and we wonder, "What happened?" We find ourselves covering up and pretending to be happy while the emptiness grows inside us.
For the past 20 years I have worked with many wonderful people. They have allowed me to share in their lives and I consider that both an honor and a privilege. Here is what some of them have to say about my work. Anonymous:."If anyone had told me before our work together just how much she would help me, I would not have believed it possible."
Making the decision to see a psychotherapist in order to talk about very personal issues and experiences can be scary. Most people want to know that what they say to their therapist or even the fact that they are seeing a therapist is kept confidential.

Licensed psychotherapists are required to keep all information confidential unless they have good reason to believe that a person's life is in danger, a child is being sexually or physically abused, or they receive a court order for information pertaining to a case for trial. If therapists do not keep strict confidences, they are in danger of losing their licences.
Many of us feel anxiety occasionally, some of us feel it almost continually, but very few of us understand it. Anxiety is complex. It's a modern reaction based on some very primitive wiring. When the modern person feels anxiety, they cannot respond with fight, flight or freeze as their ancestors did.
