Expanding Imaginations Child
I believe in providing a learning environment for the children where they can freely explore and learn at their own pace. I have a huge respect for all childcare philosophies and believe that children will make great efforts to grow and learn if we provide them with positive, nurturing, and diverse surroundings.

I believe that family, educators, and environment play a significant role in the growth and development of children. I believe the most important need for young children is providing quality and consistency of care, while giving them the confidence to explore their world through play.
Services
Feeding, potty training, forming friendships, being "the boss" - this group is all about doing it themselves. Our facility has larger than normal classrooms giving us the ability to support a child's independence, allowing for a safer environment, more individualized care, and less stress for both the child and the educators.
No longer a toddler and not quite a preschooler this group goes through a lot of development in a short amount of time. Educators are building on their interests and providing ample opportunity for singing, reading books, and creative play.

This group is exploring their individuality and noticing how they fit into the world around them - they are not just capable of looking after themselves, they are seeing the impact they make to the community as citizens of the world.Learning through play is supported outside, using natural, open ended materials that lets the children decide how to play rather than being used for a single purpose.
Providing safe transportation to and from Prince of Wales, Haultain Memorial, Deer Run and Sam Livingston French Immersion Elementary Schools this school age program lets children unwind from the structure of school and learn through being outdoors, art, games and play.

With a special atelier inspired by the Reggio Emilio philosophy from Italy the children use loose parts to create whatever their imagination desires - often using science, math, creative and reasoning skills in the process.Learning through play is supported outside, using natural, open ended materials that lets the children decide how to play rather than being used for a single purpose.
We understand that not all workplace calendars close for each of these holidays but we think that it's important for our child care educator's to receive the same benefits of top rated workplaces in Calgary. We appreciate your willingness to plan using your holidays or asking a friend or family member to help.
We believe in fresh fruit, whole grains, fresh meats, and cultural diverse menu choices while choosing to follow the current Canadian Food Guide. Offering a variety of foods is important to encourage healthy eating, stimulation, and growth. We offer a variety of healthy foods and snacks throughout the day.

Our daughter started at Expanding Imaginations when she was 11 months old, she’s now 4.5 years old and we have nothing but positive things to say! All of the staff have created a safe, fun, and loving second home for our daughter and we are so thankful.

My daughter is been going to EICC since I had to go back to work after maternity leave, she's almost 4 now and we're so happy she'll stay there until she's too old to go anymore! The teachers are caring, she learns a lot and is happy to go every day! Food is healthy and she loves it too! Covid protocols where so good and not too hard for us to do anything, they haven't closed once since covid reopenings. So happy!! Keep doing the job you're doing!!!

My children attend Expanding Imaginations and I am so impressed with the caring, stimulating, and safe environment they are providing. My kids love going there, the outings, the animals, the crafts and their teachers are fantastic and are truly setting kids up for a lifetime of learning and curiosity about the natural world.
