A child's eyesight is precious. Approximately 80% of your child's learning occurs through sight but 1 in 4 children has a vision problem that can be serious enough to impact their learning and development. These problems aren't necessarily the classic not being able to see the board but can include issues with reading, comprehension, development, and attention.
Your vision is priceless. Comprehensive eye examinations not only ensure good vision and eye health but peace of mind. Since not all patients are at the same point in their visual life each comprehensive eye examination is tailored to the specific risks of the patient. Every exam begins with a complete patient history that includes general health questions, family health history, ocular health history, medications, hobbies and work environments.
Vision correction has many options from glasses and contacts to surgeries like LASIK, PRK and intraocular lenses. Each has its benefits and disadvantages. Contact lenses are a safe, convenient option for many patients when fit appropriately by an optometrist.
Patients, including children and seniors and everyone in between, can benefit for contact lenses since they can help correct nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), astigmatism, bifocals (presbyopia), and abnormal cornea shape due to conditions like keratoconus.

The cornea plays a key role in vision as it provides about 80% of the power to focus light in the eye. On this important structure is a thin film of tears which needs to be of a specific chemical composition and thickness to provide consistent vision. If this balance is not optimal it is termed dry eye.
Your optometrist provides an impartial assessment about the best options for correcting poor vision including refractive surgery. Many optometrists also co-manage pre- and post-surgical patients with an ophthalmologist. There are several surgical options available when considering refractive surgery to reduce your dependence on glasses or contact lenses, but not every patient is a candidate for every option.

Fantastic experience. Dr. Saari is extremely professional, and is very well informed. I can honestly say that I actually enjoyed the experience. Very cool to see all the gizmos and gadgets that he has. I had my appointment, was fitted for glasses and out the door within an hour. Front desk staff was very pleasant to deal with and answered all of questions with ease. Highly recommend!

So if i could rate them in the negatives I would.
The Dr was great the 1x my husband and i seen him however the STAFF IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
My husbands next appt was booked before we left he needed an annual check up due to an eye condition he has, the Dr i guess decided to book a vaca for the date my husbands appt was booked for. Not impressed about that. So they called and rescheduled his appt with plenty of notice so fortunately it did not interfere with our work schedules. However today Mon they called me at almost 4pm to cancel and reschedule his upcoming appt this fri because apparently

I decided to take my daughter here to get her eyes checked as we usually go to McMasters but had issues trying to get her prescription . So I deicided to bring her here. It has been 7 months . After the First month I called them and asked what's going on. Secretary said she had to re fax McMasters ... We did get a letter from McMaster in February for an appointment in August ... I have yet to get any calls from this office to explain what is going on ... So unprofessional.

We were taking our 4 year old son for his regular appointment, and we were 5 minutes late because hes only 4 years old had to pee just before we left. We told them this and it didnt matter. Since we were 5 minutes late, they wouldn't let us see the doctor and cancelled the appointment. I understand that this can happen with doctors appointments, but it was only 5 minutes, and there should be some accommodation for children.
