The Donald V. Brown Funeral Home is proud of being an established family business in Stoney Creek, owned and operated by the Brown family since 1955. The combined experience of eight fully qualified funeral directors, including three members of the Brown family, will continue to ease the burden of bereavement for families they serve with professionalism and compassion.

Modest and affordable pricing have always been the tradition of the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home. Our facilities have traditionally maintained a "homey" environment providing a place of comfort to the families that are served. We trust that the third generation of the Brown family will continue to carry on the traditions that the business has been accustomed to.
Services
We want our home, to feel like your home. At Donald V Brown, we have prepared our funeral home to be as welcoming as possible. We have televisions in each room to display photos of your loved ones and an fully integrated sound system so everyone can hear. We have a large main chapel for our services.
Family and friends getting together to honor a loved one's life is one of the most important steps in the grieving and healing process. You may opt to have a traditional religious or military service, or as more and more people are doing, you can choose to have a non-traditional 'life celebration'.
No matter if a death is sudden, or if it something that was a long time coming, the loss of a loved one makes us feel emotional and overwhelmed. No amount of preparation can fully prepare you for the loss of a loved one. When you are in a heightened emotional state, even the most basic decisions can seem staggering.
Traditionally, a burial service involves a visitation, followed by a funeral service in a church, or other place of worship. The casket is typically present at both these events, and it is your decision on whether to have the casket open or not. You have the option of having the remains interred (earth burial), or it may be entombed in a crypt inside a mausoleum (above ground burial).
Giving a meaningful, moving eulogy can be a nerve-wracking situation for even the most accomplished public speaker, but it need not be. How can you summarize somebody's life in a few short minutes, while being both somber and funny at the same time? Writing and delivering a eulogy is a therapeutic tool to help deal with your grief, and being chosen to give a eulogy is an honor and should be treated that way.

I'd like to tell you about the Angel I had the good fortune of meeting today , Cherie Chennell.
I was looking for someone to help me get a small sample of both my dogs ashes, one of which who only passed a few days ago, out of their urns.
This wonderful lady, tried her best to open my other dogs urn, which was sealed shut, and offered me many options to try and put his cremation in ,as the urn had to be broken into.
Not only did she very dignantly put Sam's ashes into a new urn, but being a slightly larger dog than my recent pup, she had the great idea for part of him to share Gizmos.

We were there for my mother and the care and service we received from this family-run funeral home was unparalleled. They were very informative and patient when we first went in with questions and when we confirmed to use them, they hit the ground running. It was as if they were caring for their own family member. All the staff were gracious, caring and kind, making the sad occasion for our family members more bearable - knowing they were there to help and guide us through the hard time. Special thanks to Jen and Tom, who were there mostly when we were - for taking such good care of my mom and

They were prompt, respectfu, upfront, accommodating, and very reasonably priced. I have absolutely no regrets using this funeral home or working with their incredible staff, especially Tom who was the epitome of what you would want in a funeral director. Please seriously consider them if you are one who appreciates a business that genuinely cares about their customers.
