Ska:na Family Learning Centre offers programs for children 3 month to 12 years. Through High/Scope approach to early childhood education, each child is supported and encouraged to develop and learn in a positive educational environment. Our focus is to engage children in safe play, while promoting self exploration and skill development.

Services
Ska:na Family Learning Centre (SFLC) is a Native, non-profit, registered charity providing quality childcare in the Windsor community since 2003. Ska:na FLC believes in supporting the whole family and follows the High/Scope philosophy in regards to child and family development. Ska:na's Childcare is rooted in the High/Scope Framework Philosophy and the Native culture and both are child-centric.
The SFLC offers extensive educational services to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children, youth and their families to ensure success within the mainstream school environments and within all aspects of their lives. The Curriculum's Aboriginal language and cultural component will be primarily based on the Ojibwa culture/tradition and balanced with respecting and including all children's cultures enrolled in the program.
Ska:na FLC is pleased to announce that the Ontario Trillium Foundation has graciously granted us funds through the Capital Grant program to replace our roof. SFLC has had great success in working with the OTF and has already replaced the roof in order to prepare for the harsh winter weather. Miigwetch OTF, this support has allowed SFLC to direct funds to other maintenance issues and keep our home in good repair for our families.
