Flat Rapids we would like to thank you for an amazing vacation. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, the community was so wonderfully accepting extremely kind and very friendly. My family and I had a fabulous time, was the break that we needed to get away from the city. We're definitely planning to come back.

My husband and I spent the long weekend (Labor Day) at Flat Rapids Camp. It was a beautiful experience. we stayed at cabin #3. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The view of the French River from our… Deck was amazing. The park was very clean too. The people were very kind and friendly. I want to thank Kelly she is in charge of keeping the park in good condition. Kelly is a very friendly and respectful person. Definitely my husband and I will return next year.❤❤

My family and I know this place simply as “camp”. Our kids have fond memories of catching tadpoles and frogs, swimming to and off the docks, boat rides, tube rides, paddle boarding, diners and BBQs with the family, hikes, and sunny days on the beach. Flat Rapids Camp means more than just a camp ground to us.... it has created experiences which are etched into our family’s history which will follow us for ever. It is a place where our family, old friends, new friends, and Distant relatives come together to meet up. Come experience the French River and the environment through Flat Rapids Camp

OK of a trailer park. The use of golf carts for getting from one place to another makes it noisy and hectic feeling. People don't really hold back for the consideration of others. I have never seen sooooo many deerflies. So, if you don't mind all of that, it offers a nice little beach with docking, lots of old trees and clean washrooms. If you need groceries, you better make the 60km run to Sudbury. If you want to dine out, you have to drive back to the French River trading post. I have not seen a playground for children.

I went 2 times, there can't be a more perfect cottage/camp cottages are a good size, lake is beautiful, fishing is awesome I caught a smallmouth every time I went out. not too expensive, yeah the bugs are pesky but what are you gonna do? bathe in bug spray? its something you have to deal with when you're in the middle of nowhere.

My family and I went for 4 days, it was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and the park was clean and very well maintained. The fireworks on July 1st were fantastic. The swimming at the beach was perfect, my 7 year old and 3 year old just loved it. We forgot an extension cord and one of the managers of the park let us borrow her's so we didn't have to buy one. Pretty Great! We will defiantly be going back! :) I wrote this last year, it was all true, but trying to book again for this year, I got one response that they would get back to me and I said great let me know and never got anything again

First, they overbooked us and offered the owner's backyard. They only offered us 15 amp from the house extension cord and water from his garden hose. The 5km ride on the dirt road should've been an indication of the terrain. The camp was perched on a hill and the sites were very small. We did not stay overnight as we were displeased with the whole experience.

This is our 4th year for my husband and I and third year with my parents. We have the dock site and the other directly above it overlooking the water. Have made it an annual trip. Sadly, this is our last trip to Flat Rapids Camp. They have given our site to someone who will be permanently parking their trailer. They will now have only two… transient sites left in the entire camp. Not suitable for our trailers. This whole seasonal site thing makes it impossible to travel and go camping anymore. The guy taking the site permanently actually went on our site while we were fishing and spray painted

Beautiful view of the rocks and river when you get a river front site (and/or from other sites as well). Really reasonably priced. The sites are gravel and or grass. There is water and hydro on these particular sites but not sewer. They do have washroom and shower facilities as well as a dump station. We took our kayaks and had a great time… fishing and exploring. The last day we rented one of the boats (which is really reasonable) and went up and down the French River seeing the beautiful area and we did some fishing - bring your own lifejackets, poles, bait, PCOC and fishing license. The cabins are extremely clean and well kept, and they are spacious. For our family the camp was too "busy``..no privacy at all, its really jammed packed full of people. we were looking for more privacy. luckily we were able to get away on the river and stop at remote sites and swim, picnic and enjoy the river, just a pain to pack up and leave every day when we paid so much for the cabin.
