Services
Quality Foundations Childcare is the newest childcare center in the neighborhood! This means a superior facility that's been built with the lastest Ministry requirements in mind. This results in a facility where each class is designed perfectly for your child's age and development. Each class has a bathroom linked to the room, with miniature toilets, sinks and low soap dispensers to promote independence in every child.
Our little toddlers are cared for in a safe, tender, loving environment. Our Staff work with parents to minimize separation anxiety and helping each child develop positive relationships with staff and each other. Toddlers love their daily buggy rides as well as outdoor time in our Toddler Play area.
Preschoolers are our busiest age group with so much growth and development in this stage, they are so eager to learn! Our staff work with Preschool children to touch, taste, smell, hear and test things for themselves. Teachers support the children as they learn by experiencing & doing. The staff programming guides the children in learning through play with activities which are developmentally appropriate.
The Senior / Kinder Room provides a pre-school Senior / Kindergarten program. This program gives children daily customized learning with small group size and individualized attention. Children will obtian the foundation they need for ongoing learning. Our program is sensitive to individual developmental needs, and we adjust lessons to provide each child with a challenging and meaningful learning experience.
Our Before and After School program offers children a safe environment before and after school hours, PA days and other school breaks. Parents can rely on a safe method of transportation to & from local elementary schools. We also provide a Before only program for those that are interested. Each child is given healthy snacks before and after school, help with homework, fun programming, outdoor activities and opportunities to make new friends.

We toured every childcare center in Waterdown and decided on Quality Foundations Childcare.
The biggest reason is the sense of family you get when speaking with Vera and the staff. They asked multiple questions about our son and his interests (most other places just gave us a tour). The facility is great and allows for gated outdoor play in a private area.
We have now been there 1.5 years and have never been happier. Our son loves it there and runs to the entrance door every morning. They are strictly following COVID-19 requirements and provide a safe and caring place.

Having toured Quality Foundations, I can tell you the staff here are very warm, kind and caring. Vera is lovely and open (when I explained I was commuting quite a distance she recommended other childcare facilities she had experience with in an area closer to my work), which I really appreciated. Though I didn't register my child here in the end due to it being just a little too far in my daily commute to work, it certainly would have been a contender otherwise! The children I saw on the tour seemed happy and engaged, and the staff interacted really well with them.

My daughter absolutely loves her time at Quality Foundations. I was so nervous to go back to work and my worry was for nothing. She's simply thriving and loves all her teachers and school friends. I toured *a lot* of places, and chose to go with this one because it was the only place that I saw genuinely warm interactions between teachers and… children. They weren't just keeping the roof on, they were the kind of warm caregivers I wanted my daughter to spend her days with. It was a difference I noticed immediately when comparing to other centers. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone

My son Dane had been with me at home for the first 3.5 years of his life. Needless to say I was somewhat nervous about him transitioning to a daycare. However Quality Foundations Childcare has been nothing but amazing. From day one, Dane has loved it there and is excited to go every day. All the teachers there are amazing with the children in their care. They are kind, caring and compassionate. Dane loves his teachers and talks about them quite frequently. I would recommend Quality Foundations Childcare to anyone in a heart beat :)

Our daughter has been registered with the Waterdown Childcare Center since we moved to Waterdown this past summer. The facility is conveniently located just off the highway right between our home and work. Our daughter enjoys the staff, facility and her fellow playmates immensely. We attribute her accelerated language, gross motor and social skills to being immersed in a welcoming, warm, interactive and age-appropriate educational environment. We definitely recommend Waterdown Childcare Center to our friends and parents in our community!
