As Alberta Health does not pay for allergy testing materials, patients are required to pay for materials and extracts that are used for their tests. All allergy clinics in Alberta require patients to pay tray fees. Allergy and Asthma Physicians Calgary strictly uses 100% of these fees to pay for the highest quality materials.
Importantly, your testing with us will not result in antigen carry-over. Our fee is the lowest among allergy practices in Calgary, despite the highest quality materials. If you have additional medical coverage through your private insurance, please make sure to ask us for a receipt so that you can submit these fees to your private insurance.

Alberta Health requires a referral from a health care clinician in order for patients to book an appointment with us. If you would like a referral, contact your medical provider and ask them to fax a referral to us.
Thank you for referring patients to Allergy and Asthma Physicians Calgary. We strive to provide outstanding evidence based allergy care for your patients. Our waiting list is approximately 3 months (shorter for contact patch testing and for penicillin allergy). We prioritize bookings for food allergy referrals in infants and toddlers due to the significant adverse effect of prolonged food avoidance in this age group.
If allergy test results and medical history do not show for certain whether or not you have a food allergy to a specific food, we recommend that you have an oral food challenge test. This is typically to determine if you still are allergic to a particular food. The oral food challenge involves eating a serving of the allergic food in a slow, graded fashion under medical supervision.
If you were advised by us that you are eligible for contact patch testing, please read this section. Note that you need to be seen and assessed by Dr. Hadi before you are deemed eligible for the test. Patch testing is a tool used to identify potential triggers of allergy induced rashes (allergic contact dermatitis).
