A comprehensive eye examination is recommended once every year for individuals of all ages even when there are no visual changes to ensure that the eye health is normal. By not doing so, puts you at a greater risk for undetected vision problems, that can often be irreversible. Vision is beyond seeing 20/20.
Child eye exams are absolutely crucial! A child's first eye examination should be at the age of 6 months, then yearly after that. Children's eye examinations are fully covered by Alberta Health Care up to the age of 19 years. The primary goal of an eye exam at 6 months of age is to screen for any serious eye conditions such as eye turns, genetic conditions affecting the back of the eye or cancer of the eye.

Dr. Andrews is always courteous, kind, and caring. Her exams are very though and she takes the time to explain in depth anything if you ask. I also appreciate the lack of pressure to purchase eyeglasses or contacts during the appointment. Some practices I've historically used push those products on you to extract as much as they can from your and your insurance. Urban Eye Care is a gem in the heart of Seattle, from walking in the door to walking out, it's always a pleasurable experience.

I was recommended to Dr. Andrews. She exceeded my expectations. The past two eye doctors that I've seen both gave me bad prescriptions. Dr. Andrews gave me the perfect prescription. I absolutely love this place! We first came in with my 5 year old daughter who said her eyes are getting blurry. Naturally, I was a little worried. Dr. Marsh helped ease my fears completely as well as ease the "seeing the doctor" fears of my daughter. Since then the entire family has become patients of Dr. Marsh and Dr. Arora. Both of them are excellent with kids! I highly recommend this place for families. Not only that, we have also been treated as family by the staff. Dana, Renu, Devia, and Alexis have been amazing. They even help me entertain the kids while we wait. The entire staff

Our daughter was having some issues with reading and tracking words, so we took her to Urban Eyecare. Dr Arora diagnosed her with having an eye muscle problem and had her in Vision Therapy right away to do eye exercises every week. After 12 visits, our daughter's vision is perfect!! When we started therapy, her performance on basic grade 3 vision tests was around the 20-30th percentile. After around 12 visits, her performance is closer to the 90th percentile!! Prior to VT, she had trouble bringing her eyes close together causing her to become easily tired when reading or losing her place
