Services
Jonas Truck Driving School is designed to prepare individuals to become professional truck drivers. We emphasize safety and thorough understanding of Alberta Transportation rules and regulations on defensive driving techniques necessary in developing skill levels required to pass Commercial Driver's License Examination.
Our Calgary air brake course is designed such that when you complete you will have the confidence to pass the written test. We have highly experienced instructors who will train in the most efficient way possible. The Alberta Government requires the operator of any vehicle equipped with air brakes to have an air brake "Q" endorsement on his or her driver's license.
Regardless of age, all new drivers are part of the Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) program. This program ensures new drivers, regardless of age, get the support, skills, and experience they need to handle the complex task of driving. GDL improves road safety by creating a safe and controlled environment for all new drivers.
Some students prefer to have driving classes during winter so that they can strengthen their winter driving skills. Jonas Driving School offers a winter driving course, which includes: In-car instruction driving lessons which include steering control, braking, and accelerating tips. Winter Driving safety tips, which include: Emergency movements in snow, skid recovery, and hills parking, etc.

I took the MELT course, the classroom was tough by Jerry Vigon, very interesting and dynamic (excellent guy by the way). Generally speaking is a good School, my only suggestion is that the pre-inspection should be more a 1 to 1 classes. I highly recommend to get the training with them, shipper than other places.

I have to say I was a bit skeptical when I signed up, a class full of immigrants who's first language isn't english and me being the only caucasian person, I had a very hard time and wasn't sure if I'd pass. At first I was skeptical about a man with forearm crutches running a driving school and he wasn't all that pleasent but I realized Jonas Hila is a sweet man with a big heart. Don't let his growl deter you. He's a hard working success man. He should very proud. Thank you Jonas.

Horrible! Jonas comes across as extremely grumpy and impatient. When I asked for another instructer he sent an old lady (named "BeeBee (?) who insulted how my home looked Telling me it looked "haunted" and asking how much rent I pay for it in a rude manner-none of her business! ) and than yelled at me during the lesson and telling me how bad I was doing- including yelling at me to go faster while I was driving the speed limit already down deerfoot! Distracting , dangerous & verbally abusive- until I was in tears and asked her to cut the lesson short and just drive me home as
