Took brush-up 2h lesson with George before my advanced road test. Happy that I got to practice with George, his communication was clear, very useful tips were provided and moreover, I really understood the rationale behind this or that move/rule. I received 10 pts, which is a great achievement, road test examinator said that the instructor I was preparing with - did a really great job! All the best to you George, will recommend you to my friends.

Although I don't usually write reviews, I felt compelled to write based upon such a positive driving experience that I had with George. The tips and lessons received are so valuable to take with you that go well beyond the courses and road tests. First of all, George not only has extensive knowledge as a driving instructor, but his character exceeds most of my fears. He is very patient, kind, respectful, and calm. I've had an excellent experience with this school from start to finish! Their admins especially Fidan are prompt and helpful. My instructor Satvinder was exceptional in her patience in getting me well prepared for my road test. I have driver's anxiety and Satvinder did an excellent job of making me feel confident in my skills. I HIGHLY recommend this school for students of all ages and skill levels!

I was really struggling with my driving, couldn't pass my road test for several times. Proactive Driving School is the only school in Calgary that taught me how to drive properly. My instructors George and Sharanjit were super patient, kind, supportive and helpful. They know all about the requirements on a road test so they won't ever give you a wrong advice. I also think, they showed a good balance between being nice and being strict so I was able to notice and fix all my mistakes without getting too anxious. It took me a few times but I have finally passed a week ago, and I am very happy. I think

George was my driving instructor and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a solid instructor. George teaches well and you'll have great conversation with him at the same time. He is super patient, knowledgeable and gives good advice. With George's teaching I was able to pass the test on my first try!

A Proactive Driving School was extremely valuable experience for me. I enrolled in the Novice Insurance Reduction Course (10 Hours) after miserably failing my driving test leaving me anxious and fearful about driving. I requested George Lagaris after reading reviews on here and took a shot at trying to become a driver again. George blew away expectations and gave me confidence on the road to pass my road test with flying colors. One of the greatest driving schools I have been to. Drashko, my instructor, accomplished a goal no other has achieved so far and that is breaking my fear of sitting behind the wheel and driving on the road. A long side with being highly understanding and motivating. I was so pleased with my experience, that when my daughter reaches the time of going behind the wheel, this school would be the only one, She go to.

Our experience with Luba and John at Proactive could not have been better, simple as that.
We happen to meet John last year at our local Registry when our son was getting his learner's permit. John was there with a family friend whose son was taking his driver's test. He had been the young man's instructor. We liked John immediately and knowing we… would need a driver's ed instructor we took his number.
My emails and calls with Luba at Proactive navigating the scheduling of the theory classes and road instruction during Covid was easy. She made it all work so that it would be done in time

I booked both of my teens in Proactive Driving school, I really can't say enough great things about the school. They took two days of classes during Covid and they had all the social distancing and sanitizers ready, they are very careful to make sure you are protected. Then we met our driving instructor John Odlum, now my kids have never gotten into a car to drive, but John was amazing and made them Feel comfortable. After every lesson my kids came home with more and more confidence. John is so patient and deserves a medal to teach my kids to drive. Thank you so much Proactive, Luna and John

Considered Best driving school in Calgary right now. Check out their reviews!!! Professionalism, affordability, great experienced instructors (the instructors were senior instructors at AMA, so you'll be getting AMA quality for much less)and the insurance reduction is a great deal. Highly recommend!

Really friendly staff and way better prices than AMA. We have sent a couple kids to get their lessons here now and they've both come out much more confident drivers. The instructors seem to really make sure that the kids are getting good experience out of their lessons. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a good driving school program.

As of 5 minutes ago (as of the writing of this review,) I completed the Insurance Reduction Course that this school offers and I have thoughts. Good thoughts! Going into this entire process with absolutely zero expectations or ideas of what was going to take place, the staff member that I contacted and registered with was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about what it was that I was hoping to achieve: the ability to drive beyond mashing the pedal down, following the signs and maybe arriving at my destination without maiming anyone. Recommend it! Knowledgeable teachers and patient instructors! I was afraid of cars (after being in accident as a kid), even as passenger. And taking public transportation for over 15 years...But Drashko made it possible! I completely forgot of my fear and anxiety during my driving hours! And now I have my driver’s license (on my first try!) and must admit I enjoy driving! All thanks to this amazing school!

This is a great driving school where both theory and practice instructors are very knowledgeable and patient. Grant Wilson was my driving instructor and he was always on time for the lessons. He helped me build up my confidence when driving and always gave me very helpful advice.
Admin staff were also very helpful and friendly.
I'd totally recommend this school for anyone wanting to learn or re-learn to drive.

Everyone I've dealt with at this driving school has been accommodating, and have gone above and beyond to ensure my experience was a pleasant one. They'll answer just about any question that you have, teach you all you need to know and more, and make sure you're more than confident to take your road test and be behind the wheel of a car on your own. I just wanted to say thank you to John Odlum and A Proactive Driving School for teaching me how to drive and preparing me for my road test! I had pretty much zero driving experience prior to starting my classes with John, and was a bit nervous about going on the road. However, John made me feel very comfortable from the very start, and made sure that I was fully prepared for my road test which I passed with no errors. I now have my Class 5 license, and would recommend John and A Proactive Driving School to anyone who wants to become a good driver. Thank you.
