The Briar Patch Child Care Centre offers licensed group childcare in Chilliwack, BC, with the capacity to care for 63 children, aged 3 months to 12 years in 5 age-specific programs. Kindergarten children will attend Sardis Elementary School. We welcome all children regardless of cultural background and encourage parents to share their cultural heritage with the centre staff and children.

Services
The staff of The Briar Patch Child Care Centre realize that children will develop at their own pace, according to their own readiness. This inner development follows a sequential pattern of growth or "developmental stages". The utmost respect is given to this inner wisdom of the child and his/her ability to become the unique individual he/she is capable of becoming.
The primary goal of The Briar Patch Child Care Centre in Chilliwack is to make the daycare experience a positive one for both the parent(s) and child. To create a planned environment that is well maintained, attractive, and contains materials that promote social, physical, emotional, cognitive and cultural development.
A variety of activities including gross-motor, fine-motor, individual and group activities. Your child will participate in a variety of activities at our centre. Please send your child in comfortable clothing that is easily washed should spills or accidents occur. Also, take into consideration the weather as we try to go outside every day and the children should be dressed accordingly.
The Briar Patch Child Care Centre has licensed infant and toddler daycare centres with the capacity to care for 20 children. This group is broken into 2 programs: the infant centre cares for 12 children aged 3 months to approximately 2 years of age and the toddler centre cares for 8 children between the ages of 2 and 3.
The Briar Patch Child Care Centre's 3-5 program has the capacity to care for 20 children ages 30 months to approximately 5 years (the beginning of kindergarten). This program incorporates weekly themes with circle times and craft projects related to these themes.
As well as the weekly themes, the centre has a Safe Spaces program to teach the children about appropriate peer interactions and how they can deal with situations where they, or their friends, are being bullied.This special program is balanced with the CALM program which discusses feelings, emotions, and how to handle them.

Great daycare serving all ages. They are very thorough and thoughtful; great advocates for the children. First daycare I've ever seen that has emergency preparedness kits for every child! I am very impressed by the way they run the center and how affordable their rates are. Rare to get 6AM to 6PM hours in Chilliwack! Highly recommend Briar Patch for all ages.
