Dufferin Veterinary Services was founded in 1948 by Dr. Dudgeon. A mixed animal practice, he assisted the families of both companion and farm animals with their veterinary needs. In 1972, Dr. Wilson joined the practice, followed by Dr. Pugh in 1976. When Dr. Dudgeon retired from practice in the early 1980's, Drs.
Wilson and Pugh became the owners of the veterinary practice, along with other veterinary partners. Together, through dedication and advanced medicine, the practice grew and progressed. A satellite office, High County Veterinary Hospital, was founded in 1984 in order to provide urgent care and medical appointments for clients in Shelburne and the surrounding communities.

Many of our team members are involved in welcoming new puppies and kittens to our practice. Having brought our dog to the other vet in town, we wondered if there was another option.
Abner hadn't been well for a while but he seemed happy, generally. Suddenly, he just failed.
The staff and doctors here seemed to actually care about the patient rather than the bill.
Take your friends here if you really care about them.

They are so good to my dogs & to me. My dogs really enjoy going there...mostly I'm sure because they get spoiled lol They are honest & trustworthy. They may cost a little more than other vet offices, but I can't say for certain as it's only my second office I've ever attended, but the service is upstanding. Well worth it for the peace of mind knowing my fur babies are being well looked after.
