The appointment staff was polite and courteous. The nurses were prompt and great in doing the tests before the optometrist. And Dr, Schmidt is sincere, freindly, respectful, and knows what he has been doing for years. The location is great, with free parking, in the Market Mall Professional Building. Warm, welcoming atomosphere inside. Clean, comfortable seating area with a fairly new TV. And after eye exam, we walked to the Market Mall, Safeway light grocery shopping and the SportCheck dumbell refunding. Taking care of three things in one trip. Saving gas and time. Saved money also on two pairs

I have been going here since I was a kid, and though I’ve loved how friendly the optometrist is, last time I went I was completely ripped off. I will not be returning.
I was charged $100 over any regular eye exam I’ve heard of. I was not discussed or made aware of any extra charges at any point during my experience, including before, despite it being “policy”.
The receipt said I had some camera take a picture of my eye, which cost an extra $70. Again, at no point was I consulted or asked if this was ok.
The other extra charge unknown to me, was $30 for a contact consultation I did not

My family and I been coming here for years and have referred numerous friends to Urban Optique @ Market Mall. The service has always been quick and thorough and friendly. We think Dr. Schmidt is excellent. I haven't purchased my glasses here because they are double/triple/quadruple the cost of other places such as Costco (for good reason, I'm sure, but that's besides the point).

I'd recently moved to Calgary and was looking for an eye exam. After considerable searching, settled on Dr. Reisner. A great experience! Personable, knowledgeable, thorough and explained my situation clearly. I was also very impressed with the wide usage of technology for my exam. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I recently accompanied a client of mine to her appointment with Dr. Penny. What an exciting discovery! Dr. Penny specializes in working with individuals who experience visual challenges post brain injury. I wish I would have known about her sooner. If there are other optometrists in this city that actually know what they're dealing with in these circumstances, I haven't heard of them. She conducted testing I've never seen before.
Dr. Penny is knowledgeable, personable and pro-active. She has additional follow-up planned with my client and will be recommending vision therapy

I love this chic clinic, sometimes it is crazy busy but with exception to one minor issue (snooty receptionist) I have to say that I am quite happy with the overall service and eye doctors here.
I followed Dr. Schmidt from Centre Street, and find him to the point, quick and efficient, he is quite old so knows his stuff. Having said that the younger guys are not too shabby either. Dr. Riesner diagnosed my little guy with a severe eye condition and thanks to him, we got to a specialist pretty quick! He is "pretty" easy on the eyes too, so that's a nice little extra! :) And he is

I was in search for a new pair of glasses, so I checked out Urban Optique. I was greeted right away by on of the opticians. They have a huge selection of frames here! There were numerous styles of each designer. They had Prada, Chanel, D&G, Ray Bans, Oakley, Bvlgari and Fendi, to name a few! They have the glasses locked up, so I asked the woman if I could look at a pair that caught my eye. She unlocked them and I tried them on. They were a beautiful simple pair of Chanel glasses, $318. Okay, so I'll let you in on a secret: I'm super vain and I hate having to wear my glasses. I get the luxury of skipping out on wearing my g's because my eyesight is not so terrible yet that I can't see the world. It is just a little blurry, is all.
