Services
Newly renovated, The Lighthouse Pub has been a popular gathering spot for locals and tourists alike since 1988. Nestled on the southern bank of Porpoise Bay in Sechelt Inlet, we are a 5 minute walk to downtown Sechelt. With beautiful views of Poise Island and Mt Richardson in the background, this is a truly spectacular location.
The Lighthouse Pub is unique in the amount of services it offers to visitors and residents of Sechelt and the Sunshine Coast. Find out more about each of our services below. The Lighthouse Complex also has a full service marina offering moorage. While it was essential to provide a great location for boaters to keep their vessels, it was just as important to keep the pristine views for our restaurant and pub patrons.
If you would like the pub atmosphere (and all guests are 19+) we have our upstairs area that will comfortably seat up to 25 people, we have our lower pub area near the fireplace that will also seat up to 25 people or we have the pool table area that we can seat up to approximately 30 people. If you would like to have a more quiet atmosphere, have minors, or a larger party we can offer you our Buccaneers restaurant side.
Buccaneers Restaurant is our all affectionately named pirated theme family friendly side of the lighthouse complex. With it's own entrance, washrooms and patio it has it's own menu just for kids but still licensed for adults. Buccaneers is also great for those bigger groups that need a little bit more room, or just a quiet atmosphere of your own.
The Lighthouse Marina was established to fulfill a vision including Lighthouse Pub, Buccaneers Restaurant, Harbour Air and the entire Lighthouse complex. While it was essential to provide a great location for boaters to moor their vessels, it was equally important to preserve the pristine views from our restaurant and pub.

Giving one star here because zero is not an option. It took over an hour and a half to get our food, which wouldn't have been so bad if the food itself wasn't terrible. The mussels had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for way too long, the fish and chips were incredibly greasy and dry, the stir fry really had no sauce, and the "crispy bacon" on the chicken club was just wobbly pieces of pig fat.
All of that said, the server was wonderful. They were clearly understaffed, but she was positive and pleasant the entire time.
At least the beer was good? Do yourself a favor

Some of the best food we've had in Sechelt. I would highly recommend the super golden coconut chicken sandwich; juicy and excellent. Woodsmoke pizza oven that gives a great flavour to the pizza, beautiful view of the marina and a very friendly staff. What more can you ask for? Also, good local beer on tap.

This was a bit of a meh experience. We had to wait quite a while to be seated, to the point where a local firefighter actually had to ask to get a seat for us. I understand it was busy, and covid definitely affects things though.
The meals were a double-edged blade. My wife had the ribs which were very good, and came with a good portion size.
My chicken baguette sandwich however, was quite lackluster and despite being smaller than the ribs, somehow cost $2 more.
In short just get the ribs here. They're pretty tasty.

We went there for lunch, appears to be a very popular place, we were there at 12 noon, that’s when it is open & the places was filling up fast. We had the fish & chips, unfortunately they err out of Halibut.
Having said that , the Cod fish batter was very light & crunchy with a nice flaky fish delighting your palate. The chips were fresh & nice, enjoyed that. The coleslaw was blah... not enough dressing. The seafood chowder was so yummy... lots of clams with huge pieces of salmon... . View was fantastic!
Covid protocol was great, they are wiping down the laminated menus, servers are wearing

I went there with a friend during Summer. We had a great meal of mussels, and white wine, and some shared sides. This place has excellent ambiance! Fabulous outdoor seating, and even indoor is great. Big windows overlooking the marina with it's many boats, and sea planes coming and going. I took one star off because I came here once before in the summer of 2017 and the wait staff was very busy and huffy, and one waitress was even rude with the way she impatiently went around me. She was a bigger lady, and I'm very petite, so it felt a bit aggressive. Not a very welcoming feeling. We sat

Highly highly over priced the food that you order could have some more live and passion in the food. You could order something that should be $12 but they charge you $24 for. I think not next.
I would pay that for meal for $24 if the quality was worth $24 so thats why if i were to pay that i would goto 5Sails at Canada Place upstairs

In my opinion, this restaurant is mostly about its location. You pay to eat with a gorgeous view of the ocean and mountains but in my experience, the food and service were lacking.
You seat yourself, which seemed to cause a bit of disorganization among the servers because no one came to give us menus or water for a few minutes after we sat down. Once we decided what to order, we had to wait maybe another 5-8 minutes for someone to take our order. The server who came said to us, "Hi guys, sorry about that. You know what, I'm not going to keep you waiting any longer. Can I take your order

Had a lovely time here eating out in the patio. Even with the BC smog this summer the view was still lovely. You're surrounded by water and forest, with the dock close by as sea planes land further out.
Food was good and lots of options. Typical food, including a couple seafood options. Waitress was great and it is a 19+ location so if you don't like screaming kids, this is the place for you

Girlfriend and I stopped by on vacation. Great view and had a great meal. I got the piledriver pizza which I would highly recommend. The blue cheese dip that comes with is to die for. It makes the dish. Girlfriend got the avocado and bacon salad, which was pretty good as well. I've seen some other reviews mention bad service, all I can say is that ours was very good. Our waitress came by 3 times to ask if we were ready to order within 10 minutes as we hummed and hawwed over the menu. Only negative was maybe the price. But it's understandable due to the location and view.

Great view!
The ocean, the mountains, the marina, the float planes coming and going, wow!
I am looking forward to warmer weather when we can enjoy the patio.
I had delicious beer (Townsite! Yum!) and it was on special.
Servers and staff were all perky, friendly, and not shy to check in on us, which was a good thing, Mr B was raving about his fish and chips, so much I made him upsize to a 2 piece fish, the 2nd piece was delivered before he was even halfway though his lunch. Bravo to the staff.
The Cobb salad was HUGE and loaded with fresh veggies. They got it right by putting all the dressing

The restaurant has two sections: inside and outside on the deck. The deck had two sections, smoking and non smoking.
It loses one star because those sections are not really that far apart and I really don't want to eat food while in the air with smoke. There's a part of the deck that wraps around the side that's segregated from the rest-that's where the smoking section should be.
They lose another star because three times that we have gone there, it has taken over 45 mins to get our food. One time it took an hour and fifteen minutes and all we order normally is the pasta

The Lighthouse Pub is divided into 2 sections. The main pub side and the family friendly side, which was called The Buccaneers. We ate on the Buccaneers side close to the patio.
I had the wild salmon burger with seafood soup. The salmon burger was not overcooked at all and was still juicy. It was topped with guacamole, lettuce and onion. The soup was on the saltier side with pieces of fish, clams and rice.
There's a kid's menu so I ordered the chicken stripes and fries for my daughter. The chicken pieces were big and tender. The fries might have been fried too long, but still
