The Vincent's story began in the early 1970's, when a barber shop - Vincent's Den for Men, was founded by Vincent himself. In the early 1980's, a young John Freda growing up in Etobicoke, was looking for his career path. He decided to try accounting, but quickly realised it was not for him. While spending some time with some hair stylist friends at the local mall, he discovered his calling - hair.
He immediately enrolled at Bruno's School of Hair Design in downtown Toronto. After graduation, John worked in a few local shops in the Bloor/Royal York area of Etobicoke. In 1983, John responded to a job listing in the Toronto Sun for a hair stylist at Vincent's Den for Men. He went in for the interview and within a few hours, he was on the floor working.

Moroccanoil is a unique brand that produces hair treatment, shampoos and conditioners, styling and finishing products, and body care products, all infused with argan oil.
I had to look long and hard to find a neighbourhood hairstylist that would do a Flat top. Most places these days don't know how to do it, think it's too difficult, or charge an additional premium price. Fortunately I walked in to Vincent's, met John, and was referred to Julie. I am very impressed with her talent in managing to give me a wash, and a free-hand Flat top, all in 20 minutes!

Have been to see Julie multiple times and the barber as a whole is easily one of the best all-around barbers I've been to. John has always gone above and beyond to accommodate his clients, which I've seen first hand, and experienced myself when I needed an urgent haircut before an interview some months ago (Pre-COVID).
The salon may not be high-end designer level (I lived in Scottsdale, AZ, and they're just absurd there), and that is absolutely not a bad thing. They offer great products and use as good gear as I've seen anywhere else, if not better. Going into the salon, you're impressed with

John is truly an artist. I told him the kind of style I wanted along with the characteristics of my hair (thinning, sticks up at the back) and he was able to give me an awesome cut. Also gave me advice on maintaining my hair + beard going into the future. Can't recommend this place enough. If you need a haircut, your search is done. Go to Vincent's Den For Men.

Great haircut and service for a great price. I have been going to John for over a year. The man is a true gentleman and really takes care of you. He will do whatever he can to accommodate you, even if you need an emergency haircut or touch up. All the staff are kind here and actually care. It’s hard to say that about establishments today.

John and his team of very friendly staff do amazing work when it comes to cutting hair. Coming here is a very positive experience for many reasons including the work they do, friendliness of staff and other customers, as well as how accommodating they are. I once came here unaware of the closing hours and John was nice enough to stop what he was doing and cut my hair while he was in the process of closing the store. Very impressed!

John is a master of his craft. He is not just an exceptional barber, he also makes a spectacular effort to give you a great one-on-one personal experience. He's that old friend you never knew you had who also happens to give really great haircuts.
I've been going for almost two years to see him and for the first time in my life, getting my haircut is viewed as a pleasant experience instead of a chore. Definitely worth a visit to Humbertown to see him and his friendly staff.
