€˜Dental Dan’ is the only person who has been able to clean my sons teeth. He is fun -yet calm - and engages my son the entire time with excellent stories. The staff is kind and they take a lot of time to make my son feel welcome and safe. I would highly recommend this clinic- especially for kids!

I’ve been going to Saanich Dental Group for years and have had nothing but good experiences. Like most people, I’m not a big fan of pain in my mouth, but SDG makes each visit as painless as possible. They were especially great on my last visit when I had to have an emergency procedure. They fit me in quickly and took great care of me.

The name sounds very ordinary, Saanich Dental Group, but this is not an ordinary dental office.
The professional administrative staff are very friendly and helpful, and the dental team is compassionate and very skilled. I like that the dentists tell me what they’re going to be doing before they do it and communicate very well. The workmanship has been beyond expectation. And when I have had dental emergencies in off hours, my dentist has always been available to determine what action we need to take.
I have had a lot of dental work that was necessary and have serious anxiety. I am impressed

I used to be dentist phobic until I found Saanich Dental. Kind, understanding and take their time to make you feel comfortable. They listen to your needs and fears and adjust accordingly. I highly recommend going and trying them out. Trudy and the front office staff are beyond helpful, Dr. Sean Compton is fantastic and takes his time until I am ready to commit to treatments, and Pamela!! She is a rockstar Hygenist. All staff are so great. You won't be disappointed.

I was referred to Saanich Dental Group after many years of putting up with inferior service from a Sidney dentist after remaining faithful to him for much too long. I came to quickly see how advanced, caring and helpful this dental office was in comparison. Dr. Nip was very helpful immediately and we soon had my dental problems on the road to recovery. Office staff are knowledgeable and pleasant.

Dentists and Hygienist are good. But the support staff and scheduling are the worst I have experienced. They are pleasant on the phone but I have had appointments moved without my consent, and I am called all the time to move my appointments. We have been given the wrong times. They can not send email correspondence directly to me, as my wife and I share the same account and she was the first to go there. So she is forever forwarding all of the appointments ,confirmations, and their attempts to change our appointments for both myself and my 6 year old son. It is just a head ache to deal with them

Sure Saanich Dental is a very professional group. More important to me, is they go out of their way way to keep you happy and healthy. I like to minimize my exposure to drugs and antibiotics and found they were happy to accommodate my wishes. I have five dental implants done by Doctor Compton several years ago. I can say it proved a great recommendation and I am extremely happy with the results.

Actually, I’ve been a client of Saanich Dental since the 70’s - and have had many, many appointments over the past 46 years. The staff here have been unfailingly courteous and kind, and very professional, always. First Dr. Grier, and now Dr. Toaxen have impressed me with their level of skill and knowledge, and I have always had complete confidence in them. I would totally recommend the Saanich Dental Group to anyone who needs a dentist!

One dentist at this practice has made me feel uncomfortable many times, just for asking her to make my teeth their natural shape, and align them, which I was paying for.
I've had many bad experiences with the Saanich Dental group, even with some of the receptionist/front desk ladies... super helpful and friendly sometimes, but quick to change their tone.
The whole practice seems to be focused on making money, rather than patient care. On numerous occasions the cost of my procedures was a surprise, and they did not inform me prior to certain procedures, when my insurance would not cover

I've been going with my whole family since I moved to Victoria. They by far from the front desk to everyone who works there are AMAZING and super professional. we love Pamela, Dr. Compton, Mariola, Nikki and shirley ( basically they are the people we deal with). Our family has been going to Saanich Dental for decades, and have consistently received top notch care. They provide excellent service with the latest technologies, but most importantly to us they deliver it with genuine care and detailed attention. I have sensitive teeth, and Linda is outstanding at working with me during cleanings to be sure I… am comfortable. When our son was a toddler, he had an upsetting experience with a specialist that left him scared and anxious to go to the dentist. Through many patient, attentive appointments where his needs were respected every step of the way

I am amazed by this dental office. I called desperate in pain for help today! And they got me in by 9 am! I normally have horrible dental anxiety and with out any Ativan or gas I made it through my appointment. Everyone was so friendly and caring! I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else again! AVOID this practice, in particular Dr. Sean Compton. Watch your wallet as the fees for teeth cleaning are the highest in Victoria. Also, you'll be hit up for extra expensive services which are not necessary. For example, the Hygenist suggested a Veloscope exam for oral cancer for my 15 year old daughter! Totally inappropriate and overpriced at $33 dollars. My husband had the Veloscope done at Mayfair Dental for $25.) Also suggested a mouth guard for my 10 year old son who plays soccer, at $140-! NO one who plays soccer wears a mourth guard.
