We offer a full range of oral hygiene services available to people of all ages with or without dental insurance. We will refer you to a health care specialist for anything beyond our expertise. Our professional cleaning includes tooth scaling and tooth polishing and debridement if too much tartar has accumulated.

This is done both above and below where the gum meets the tooth. Cheri holds a Bachelor of Dental Science degree and has been a practicing Registered Dental Hygienist for 20 years. She also teaches part time at Camosun College in the Dental Hygiene Programme. On her days off she also travels and lectures in North America on ultrasonic scaling.

I have been working with Cheri for many years, checking in around the 6 month mark with pretty good regularity.
I've really enjoyed working with Cheri. She has been instrumental in referring me to a great downtown dentist when she suspected that there was a cavity and otherwise she's taken great care of my teeth and gums.
She always takes time to explain everything and I don't feel rushed at all in the office. It can't be easy to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in a dental/hygiene setting, but they've done it at Focus on Hygiene. They're awesome!

I thank Cheri for saving my life. In a regular exam she asked me about a mole on my neck. Although I had recently seen my dermatologist and he said the mole was fine, Cheri gave me pause to reflect. She recommended a second opinion. I decided to have the mole biopsied. I was soon diagnosed with melanoma. Although the surgeon delayed surgery because she thought the melanoma might have spread to my lymph nodes, we eventually discovered that it was superficial and had not yet spread. Cheri had tracked my permanently swollen lymph nodes and kept records, which helped me. Eventually I had a small surgery

They are nice enough, but I am not sure they are thorough. I am very particular about my teeth. They cleaned my teeth in less than 30 minutes. There is no way that was a complete job. Now I have to go somewhere else to get the job done better.
