A psychoeducational assessment is an individual in-depth assessment designed to provide information about a person's cognitive ability, academic skills and socio-emotional skills. The goal of the assessment is to determine if there are underlying conditions that are affecting a student's academic progress.
There are a multitude of resources available to support families, and specifically children. I have compiled the following list to help support you in your journey, as a supplement to our work together. School Mental Health Ontario is an excellent resource for promoting mental health in schools. There is a parent section as well as a section for youth.
