Hamilton Psych is a caring team of professionals dedicated to helping people with their life challenges. We offer services to families, couples, children and adults. Our psychologists and psychological associates are licensed professionals with the experience and knowledge to assess and treat a wide range of problems.
Services
We provide comprehensive assessments for preschool children (under 6 years old) who may be experiencing delays in their cognitive, language, and social skills. These assessments can identify developmental concerns, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). They can also be helpful to determine the strategies and supports that will best promote the development of new skills.
Psychologists and Psychological Associates have more than one degree in psychology. Following what is usually an Honours Bachelor degree in Psychology, graduate work in applied psychology (e.g., Clinical Psychology) is required. Psychological associates have a Masters degree plus intensive supervised work experience.
Psycho-educational assessments within our practice are undertaken in order to understand a child's, adolescent's, or adult's current functioning. The assessment is designed to uncover any diagnostic or learning style reasons for difficulties an individual may be experiencing at home, school, or in the community.
We need to give each other the space to grow, to be ourselves, to exercise our diversity. We need to give each other space so that we may both give and receive such beautiful things as ideas, openness, dignity, joy, healing, and inclusion. There are many reasons to consider accessing psychotherapy for yourself, your child, or your family.

After 5 appointments I realized they are not worth the service for me. They are over priced and charge full price if you miss an appointment, even if it’s for a legitimate reason. I can understand a nominal missed appointment fee, but full price? They say privacy is important but the receptionists leave the window open so everyone in the wait room can here what they are talking about or when she is on the phone or with patients at the window. Some doctors will talk to the parents either in the waitroom or loudly from the door or window. Then the fees went up by $10 and I got a letter AT my appointment

The 'trainee' psychologist turned out not a good fit at all and in fact made some huge errors. Since she was in a supervised practice, I asked to speak to her supervisor as I was quite upset and unhappy. They told me I had to pay for a session to take up my complaints with her supervisor, which isn't right since it would have no therapeutic value for me, or, I would get a 'free' 10 minute phone call to discuss my concerns. LOL. No thanks. I realize we all do what we do for money, but this place puts money well before clients. It really concerns me that the supervisor obviously didn't care what
