Another one of Byblos Bakery's tremendous contributions to the Calgary community is through their school nutrition program. Almost 25 years ago, Byblos started introducing pita bread in school classrooms. By visiting classrooms and showing kids how to use pita bread to create a quick meal or snack, kids learned that pita could be a fun and healthy addition to their meal times.

Found a sort of a nail in the Pita bread and I have pictures! Called the quality service they said its a piece of plastic! Still a nail or plastic, it's disgusting to find that huge thing in a bite while having lunch. Didn't get a refund or anything! They asked me to go back to walmart to get a refund ! Walmart is not responsible for the quality of your products !!

I love this bakery. I usually pop in there to buy fresh Balady bread and whilst there I usually have lunch there with my kids in their seating area. The food is good and fairly well priced. I love the chicken and cheese folded pizza(pie). Take the family, it seems like they have something good for everyone. There is not a lot of parking though so make sure to go at times that are not busy!

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place. I was there around the end of February. It was like visiting a secret outpost of another world. I got a zaatar pie and a beautiful roll with the looks of a rose, with pistachios on top (I am so sorry I can't remember the name - I'll call it "rose"). The pie was fantastic, if I did not live 5 hours plane away I would go get one every day. The rose was incredible, and not crazy sweet (I have had these things before and feared for my teeth). I loved this place and I wish there were more.

Fastfood made to order 1/5: ive been going here since 1990. Good pita bread - this is not a review of the bakery but of the restaurant inside which recently opened. I would say to avoid their new food offerings, as this is a bakery, not a restaurant. The falafel are so old and hard as a rock that it will cut your throat going down. I was told this was the "style" for this type of arabic falafel. Horrible! The Bakery: 5/5

It's a weekly stop on my way to work, I stop in for a zaatar, a pita covered with a mixture of zaatar spices, which is a blend of Mediterranean spices. A very unique taste, but most all, this bakery very well known for families shopping on a regular basis for pita bread, bagels, Lebanese bakings including deserts like baklava, mshabak, katayef, and so much more. The prices are terrific. The bakery is well know and supplies all the national chain grocers, so all the baked goods, breads, which are irregular meanings they didn't pass inspection and were either not perfectly shaped or a bit

This is the best Falafel I've ever had in Calgary.
Previously, the best Falafel I've ever eaten in my life was at a place called Deserts in Vancouver & Whistler. I haven't been there for at least 15 years but I still compare all falafel sandwiches to that one.
This one stands on its own.
You gotta try it.

Having been established over 3 decades ago, Byblos Bakery is a notorious bakery in town. They are known best for their white and whole wheat pitas, but they also carry everything from baklava to kataifi.
A good majority of stores around town supply Byblos Bakery pitas and not only are they the freshest around, but they're also the biggest. And if you happen to be lucky enough to pick them up while they're still warm, you will vow to never eat another type of pita for the rest of your life.
