This camera takes high quality pictures of the inside of the eye and makes the diagnosis of a wide range of eye health conditions easier. Finding retinal diseases early on helps prevent possible worsening of the condition and halts the progression of vision loss.

Early detection of retinal disease is essential to minimizing or eliminating disease progression and potentially associated vision loss. Additionally, these photographs allow us to easily share our concerns with other health care professionals, and they act as an accurate permanent record of any changes in your eyes.
Getting an optomap image is fast, painless, and comfortable. Nothing touches your eye at any time. It is suitable for the whole family. To have the exam, you simply look into the device one eye at a time (like looking through a keyhole) and you will see a flash of light to let you know the image of your retina has been taken.
Ortho-K can be used in children as young as 6 years old. In these cases, we teach the parent the insertion & removal technique, as well the cleaning schedule. As they get older, they can become more involved in this process. Children who play sports, are not functioning well in glasses or contacts, and/or are not candidates for LASIK correction are often good candidates for ortho-K treatment.

I have been a patient at this clinic for years and my latest experience was disappointing. The customer service was lacking. I arrived to my appointment a touch early and after checking in, I decided to browse (not touch) their eyeglasses area. Next thing I know, I was alerted from across the room that browsing is not allowed and was ordered (in a brash way) to go to the waiting area. I did not see any signage indicating that people aren’t allowed to browse, and even if there was, I did not appreciate being addressed in this way and frankly it was embarrassing. Lastly, my eye exam felt rushed

I had a great experience here. I first came to this clinic when they were located in another building in Sundance six years ago, I wasn't aware that they had moved so I was pleasantly surprised to learn this clinic/team was still in the area (just in a newer building)! Anyhow, the front desk team was really nice and accommodating in fitting me for a full eye exam before my benefits expired in a same day appointment. Kristen had really amazing customer service was so helpful in helping me find a pair, she listened well to my preferences and was so helpful in grabbing as many pairs for me to try

I took both my young kids and myself for a check up. The front desk staff are very helpful, as are the people doing the eye tests on the machines/camera prior to seeing the doctor. Dr. Wiseman is professional and great with kids. Alina made our experience buying glasses for my daughter quick and easy.

I had my full annual eye exam and appointment with Dr. Osiowy on October 25th 2021 and couldn’t be happier. I am not a fan of eye appointments. It was a thurough exam, took about an hour. The techs were great. They explained everything before they started. I did not feel rushed through it all.
Doctor Osiowy took the time to catch up, ask how my family was doing and then went through everything with much patience, I had a previous prescritption slightly higher than I needed and was causing some discomfort. I’ve been going to My Optometrist Calgary for over a decade. Great staff and service. Dr Eric Wiseman was friendly, professional and took the time to answer my questions and explain the results of my comprehensive eye exam. Gord helped me pick out new frames and was friendly and very patient throughout the experience.

Everyone here is great, always super helpful, kind and understanding. I've been to this office for a variety of things, including eye exams, buying glasses, an eye injury and follow-up care. Had great experiences every time.
I also took my son there recently for an eye exam and they were great with him :) He's so excited for his glasses, it's all he can talk about. Thank you for making this so positive for him!

Love the great service we received at Health First Optometry. Marta was wonderful. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating and the information and suggestions she shared with us was very valuable. She made us feel very comfortable and allowed us all of the time we wanted to look at new frames for my daughter. Covid protocols in place are excellent. Highly recommend Health First Optometry as the go to place for new glasses.

Recently I had posted a review about this clinic and described a negative experience a while back.
Now, within a day, I received a proper response from the director himself with genuine request to address the issue and he also followed up with couple of phone calls. I respected and admired his approach and called him back and we discussed what happened. He was understanding and professional, but of course he could not turn back time. He offered to take me in on next visits so that I can experience their good will and service. I didn't have a need then

I've bought 2 pairs of prescriptions glasses here and the service was phenomenal. The staff was very kind and helpful when I was picking frames, and they had good deals on the lenses. When the glasses were ready for pickup, they helped me to adjust the frames so they would fit comfortably. During covid times, they were working on appointments only and that was great for me, as the place was never crowded. I will definitely come back when it's time to update my prescription.
