Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. It is recommended, however, that patients protect their smiles by wearing a mouthguard when participating in any sporting activity. Mouthguards are inexpensive, comfortable, and come in a variety of colors and patterns.

Dr. Douglas obtained his Science degree from the University of Alberta. Dr. Douglas then moved to Vancouver and graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1999. To enhance his education he then completed a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto.

Had the misfortune of chosing this place for braces in my teens. Dr. Brent was just taking over and not only did we not get enough teeth pulled out that i had requested for my overbite, but two occassions where i asked for bottomless retainers, i was told to just stick with the ones they were giving me. Needless to say, my teeth went back to crooked and i have my overbite again and will be needing braces approaching 30. I would avoid this place, so much money gone to waste and Dr. Brent isnt taking responsibility and still comes across as arrogant. I wouldnt trust my service to someone who doesnt

OK so I had some seriously wonky teeth before seeing Dr. Douglas, and I thought for sure I'd need some teeth pulled since my mouth is super tiny. He is a wizard who managed to fix my smile in about 2 years without pulling any teeth. Everyone at the clinic is so kind, gentle, and the price I paid for the treatment was reasonable considering how complex my case was. I recommend Dr. Douglas to everyone if they're seeking orthodontic treatment for themselves or their kids.

We were looking for an orthodontist in our area for our daughter Sasha and came across Ocean by fluke.....we were just googling the doctors. So happy we found them!!!
Very professional, super knowledgeable and super friendly.
Our daughter found that she meets a lot of kids, who go there as well, so it makes her really proud to be their patient!
Dr. Douglas and his wonderful team of girls really do have a special way to make the kids feel comfortable when they come in.
Sasha is always very excited to go there!!! Plus they have a special table with 4 built in i-Pads for kids to play while waiting

I've just had my last scheduled appointment w/ Dr. D and his fantastic staff at Ocean Orthodontics and thought I'd write a review.
I had braces for 26 months, and was in the office around 14 times through the process and always found the staff and Dr. D to be super personable and amazing at their work. I can't recommend them more highly, great people and a wonderful operation from head to toe.
I'm so thankful that my dentist recommended me to them.

I am 7 weeks into my invisalign therapy and am enjoying the experience with this clinic. I enjoy the early (8 am) appointments and found the staff very helpful. Every time I called or emailed with new questions in the first weeks of my treatment, they provided quick and thorough responses. I enjoy the small reward program...it isn't a big deal but it's kind of fun.

I would highly recommend Ocean Orthodontics to anyone needing orthodontic work. I found his staff to be extremely personable, polite, prompt and friendly. Dr. Douglas, is a super nice guy and very down to earth. He will give you an honest opinion that isn't necessarily the most expensive which I really appreciate. I was surprised that appointment were on time, and that payment process was so smooth.
