Walt's has been a trusted name on the Sunshine Coast for nearly half a century. The business was established by my father, Walt, as the Standard Oil gas station and repair shop at the Sunny Crescent Mall in 1962. I am Todd Loitz, and I was born and raised on the Sunshine Coast. I learned the business by following in my father's footsteps and helping him run the service station.
We are committed to treating our customers with the respect, courtesy and prompt attention that we would wish for if we were on the side of the road. We understand that automotive issues can be a very stressful experience, and that's why we always bring a friendly demeanor to complement our expedient services.
We got a flat tire, but we couldn't repair it because we lost our wheel lock key. Long story short, our plan was to tow the car all the way from Sunshine Coast to Vancouver because the repair shop at Sunshine Coast wouldn't help us. Todd brought us to his friend where he helped us repaired the tire.
Walt's Towing has been diligently serving the Sunshine Coast's communities for decades. I don't know who the staff member was who helped us, but he did an amazing job. He towed our new-to-us camping trailer from Sandy Hook to Halfmoon Bay and then carefully navigated the trailer down our driveway between closely spaced trees, past our rancher home with low eaves, around another tree and into the parking spot. All this was done going backwards! I could see how careful he was being to avoid damaging even the smallest trees, which relaxed me during what could have been a stressful experience. And the price was very reasonable. We will definitely call this company again next time we need

Can’t speak highly enough of Walts towing service. Daughters car wouldn’t start to exit ferry at Horseshoe Bay. Walt answered immediately and was ready to tow when we sadly had to stay on board and return to Langdale. Many calls to him later we were able to get the car running!!! (It was a hybrid so even more complicated). Walt happy for us and no charge! Was very grateful for his expertise and knowing he was ready for us no matter what happened.

I highly recommend this company.
On Christmas day we got caught in a blizzard, trying to make it to the ferry terminal back to Vancouver. No one will help us. Todd was recommended by an outreach manager, who was kind enough to drive us to a motel when none of the local taxis in Sechelt will answer and we were stuck outside in the cold.
On boxing, I was so grateful to Todd for answering his phone even though he was not located in the town where the vehicle ran off the road. Todd came to the motel got the keys, went to the next town and shoved the vehicle out and towed us to the ferry terminal

Todd from Walt's Towing was able to come out to a rural park to help us with our vehicle after the exhaust pipe had come loose. Even after the inconvenience of driving out to us with the tow, Todd told us the vehicle was safe to self-drive back to the shop and he didn't even charge us for his time. We were so grateful for the timeliness and honesty! Will definitely use them again for future needs.

Our truck broke down on Canada Day (a public holiday) and we were a little off the beaten track. We gave Walt's a call not expecting anyone to answer but to our surprise Todd answered the phone and was with us within an hour! 5 Minutes later the truck was loaded and we where on our way back into town. Todd offered us a ride too saving us the Taxi fare! Good conversation on the way back and dropped us off at a recommended garage. You could not ask for anything more. Highly recommend! If you are in need of a tow, give Walts a call!

I didn’t receive direct service from
Walts but yesterday during the phone call, they gave me such a big help. My car battery died on the ferry site and can’t move. I called Walts and they suggested that we get the car moving to the Kenmac part shop to get it checked the next morning. We followed the advice and it worked great. Thank you so much Walts for your taking care of us and we really appreciate your caring heart.

Called to have my car towed to the mechanic. Todd came by and took a look and got my car running free of charge! No need for tow and saved me a possible pricey visit at the mechanic. Honest and helpful always, hard to find friendly, neighbourly service like this these days

We hired Tod at Walt's towing to tow our 5th wheel trailer from the sunshine coast to saltspring island. He did an excellent job and got us here in a torrential rain storm with no problems. He helped us setup and level the trailer when we arrived as well. Overall great driver, very experienced, professional and friendly. Highly recommend for any towing you need done!
