At your first appointment, our caring dentist will hear your concerns, check your teeth and x-rays, and then provide the best treatment options for you. Dr. David Cheng received his dental degree from the University of Toronto in 2005, then completed his post doctoral residency at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
College Street Dental is pleased to offer a full range of services that will keep your smile beautiful and healthy. We cover many different areas of dentistry that range from routine procedures to cosmetic and emergency care. After the exam, we will develop a personalized treatment plan for you. At College Street Dental, we provide helpful information before your Oral Surgery and after care surgery instructions. Please read and download the information before your appointment. This is for patients getting local freezing by injection to numb the extraction site. If you choose to have laughing gas in addition to the injection, this is a gas you inhale through a nose piece to help you relax.

Staff were welcoming and helpful. I booked my appointment months ago and forgot about it but staff reminded me a week ago.
Hygenist was kind and knowledgable. Booked for cleaning and the process was painless.

I go to College Street Dental for regular checkups and cleaning. Booking an appointment is very easy and there is no wait time when checking in. Staff is very friendly! Instructions and recommendations are communicated clearly. For students it is very easy to link your health insurance and make use of your benefits.

Dental Surgeon is very good at what they do. They will definitely listen to what you want and need and give you the best advice. Also they are very gentle and you can definitely feel that they care, unlike other locations or dentist, they have a very heavy hands and you can feel it and it hurts 😬, but College Street Dental exceeded my expectations.
Overall, you can trust them.

I have been going to College Street Dental for the past 3 years and I’ve always had a pleasant experience. The doctors and nurses are very friendly. I’m getting my Invisalign treatment done by College Street Dental. So far I have completed three months of my treatment and it is going great. Booking appointments is very easy and they are flexible with schedules. Plus if you are a university student they provide student discounts on top of dental insurance which makes other treatments such as cleaning and wisdom tooth extractions affordable.

Had a great time here, the nurses were really friendly and were willing to accomodate me when I was struggling with the X rays. The dentist did a thorough check up on me to figure out what my problem was until we discovered it. Then, I had two cavities filled; easily and painlessly. The dentist then explained in detail what I should do going forward to avoid my problem recurring. Everyone was super nice, highly recommend.

Dr. Stephanie Chan is a truly great dentist, very gentle and patient focused. She never fails to put me at ease and her team of hygienists is equally great. I also love that there are TV’s in the room to focus on during the appointments. As someone with a lot of anxiety about the dentist, coming to College Street dental has been an empowering experience that has totally changed the way I think about my dental care. Highly recommend!

I love the friendliness of the staff members, they always greet you with a smile. I went for a dental check and cleaning, it went smoothly and they have a television on the ceiling so you won't be bored during the duration. I highly recommend, they also take University insurance so cleaning and check up is free of charge.

After a horrible treatment, I went to check out and for some reason my insurance didn't go through. After almost an hour of trying to figure out why as I am covered by my university, the receptionist kinda gave up and made me pay out of pocket for the service. They gave me very vague directions on how to go about getting a refund.
I had to spend DAYS talking to 5 different insurance companies/ my school(as everyone I called kept on referring me to another person).

The friendly and professional staff and helpful explanations on the part of the dentists make what's usually an appointment I'd much rather avoid a better experience than usual. I appreciate the office's cleanliness, the efficient cleaning appointments that usually have you in and out of the office within 45-50 minutes, and the convenient appointment reminders via text and email. I had a few serious dental issues a while back and I felt embarrassed when I first walked into Dr. Cheng's office almost 8 years ago. Prior to seeing Dr. Cheng I hadn't really seen a dentist in a long while; I felt nervous/embarrassed my first visit but the staff let me know everything was going to be okay and that they are here to help. In 2014 I was a student at UofT and went to college dental. I got a cleaning and check up. I also got a dental x ray. On seeing the x ray the dentist told me I had several developing cavities everywhere in my mouth and warned me I needed to have them removed. You see, dentists see evidence of demineralization and are just too happy to drill holes everywhere in your mouth, destroy good healthy dental pieces and take your money. I have been going here since 2013/2014. Even though there are lots of dental clinics near home. I rather drive 40mins-1hr (depending on the traffic). I even drove during the snow storm (partly because I didn't want to pay the $50 cancellation fee heheeh).
I feel comfortable coming here. The atmosphere feels clean, comforting, and calming.The dentist and dental hygienist are really nice, supportive, and very knowledgeable and experienced.

I've been going to this place For about four years, all the service they provide for you are awesome. Also after any visits and services if you have any concerns they will follow up with you without extra charges. They will send you reminder of your annual check ups and about your appointment few days in advance. Highly recommend to use laughing gas instead of needle for numbness. The doctor offered me once and I loved the experience. It's like having 5-6 shots of Vodka and you don't feel any pains. After the gas is taken away you are back in your normal and sober mood.

I was terrified of my wisdom tooth extraction because of a previous bad experience, but Dr. Steph listened to my concerns and walked me through the process and ensured I was comfortable at all times. The process was over in less than 20 minutes. Their prices are reasonable and the hygienists and technicians are fantastic! I will definitely be back for future cleaning and fillings.

Great when I was a student but misinforming for graduates with no insurance.
Went in for a cleaning, double checked with the receptionist of cleaning cost ($110). Asked if the price included fluoride and polishing and the receptionist said yes. Got my cleaning done...was billed $160. apparently, fluoride and polishing was never included in the price (all additional)...Please be more knowledgable in your pricing policy. I understand most of the clienteles are students who are fully covered...thought i would go back as a graduate due to previous great experience but won't be returning as there

College Street Dental is a great place to go if you are searching for a dentist. Dr. Cheng and his staff take away the nervousness of visiting the dentist. In addition, their location is so convenient that I have no excuse to not visit every 6 months.

I'm truly satisfied with the great service I received with Dr Cheng . He was very kind and took my concerns I had of having dental work done with so much caring. I walked in fearing having work done on my teeth but walked away with a new feeling about my dental care. He was patient, listened to all questions I had and gave to me the best dental experience I've ever had. I came to this office on the advise of my friend and am truly glad I did. I was referred to College Street Dental by a friend of mine. She had commented on how great the place was. After two years of being a patient there, I concur. I was pleasantly surprised by how much time the dentist spent discussing my options, taking photographs and most importantly listening to my concerns. Just got a couple of my wisdom teeth pulled out! I have had 3 visits to College Street Dental since a long gap between regular visits to a dentist. As someone with quite a bit of anxiety in every social situation, a visit to the dentist is among the worst things in LIFE.
