I had a wonderful experience with all of the very friendly reception and phone staff, the hygienist Courtney, the dental assistant Jen and with Dr. Kaplan. I've had some poor experiences with dentistry in the past, so I was up front with them about my anxiety and my needs... They all very kindly and gently helped me get through all experiences. I really appreciate everything they did to make me feel comfortable and welcome from the very first time I spoke with them on the phone, until I finished my fillings and cleanings. A superb bunch of people!

I used to love this place but I needed emergency dental work during the pandemic and my dentist here told me she had just attended a 40 person wedding. If a medical professional can't follow basic health guidelines, I sincerely doubt their ability to care for others. I will be finding a new dentist when we're all vaccinated.

The only negative review of this amazing establishment is from a "dude" that decided to take up parking as a student (he's not a patient?) and he was reminded it wasn't right for him to be parking for free? Ridiculous. Anyway, I've been seeing Dr. Walters and his team for upwards of 25 years and have seen this business grow. Top notch service, class and compassion from your reception - to your hygiene appointment - to anything more involved. Can't say enough good. If you want a great dental office, Metropolitan Dental in Ottawa is for you!

After recently moving to Ottawa, I went here for my first check-up and cleaning today. Very pleased. The office staff were easy to work with, and my appointment was on time. My checkup with Dr. Kaplan was thorough and straightforward. Cleaning was also thorough and not painful. The place was very clean and organized. A good choice.

I was shocked how rude the staff was. I parked a few times here and (the final time) the staff went out of the way to exit the building and demand I leave, in a EXTREMELY unkind manner. Not professional at all. It was very unnecessary, a simple request would do. There is a polite way to do things. They do not seem to grasp this. Cheers.

I first went to Metropolitan Dental in 2013. I was absolutely terrified of the dentist (having PTSD made it hard to do anything like this). My first contact with them was on the telephone and I immediately told the receptionist that I had this fear and her very warm response was "That's what we do here". I booked a consultation and just a few days before my appointment I mentioned it to a friend and she told me that her family were patients at Metropolitan and she had nothing but amazing things to say.

I've been going here for about 2 years. It was recommended by a family member and I went here for a second opinion on a cavity. I enjoy this place because it's clean, the staff is friendly, they have modern equipment. I also appreciate the automated reminder that my dental appointment is coming up. I thought this was a neat feature because I had completely forgotten the appointment.

After moving to the city, I needed a new dentist and found Dr. Kraus. I find her to be really knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I had an almost-cavity and rather than push me to fill it, she worked with me to find solutions to have the enamel repair itself and to avoid that issue in the future. I also have always had a good experience with all the dental hygienists. Reception staff can be so-so in terms of mood and clarity but I really appreciate having a dentist I can trust and who isn't just looking for $$$.

So I was in Toronto a couple of weeks ago, and my teeth were really sensitive for some reason and I did not know where to go. After reading many Yelp reviews, I decided to go here. I met with Dr. Andre Plaitis and he was so accommodating to my schedule since I was only visiting.
Very professional, intelligent, and prompt. He examined my teeth for quite some time and realized that I had some receding gums in my right molars. Instead of trying to scare me more and telling me I need any crazy gum surgery or re-grafting, he said it can wait. Recommended other options such as getting a Sonicare toothbrush

Over the years I have been to many dentists in the city, I've been to dentists who have been very careless and caused severe pain that I almost believed they were torturing me on purpose, others who lacked the necessary dentistry skills which caused my fillings to come off as soon as I walked out of the office. After these experiences I didn't visit a dentist for quite some time until I felt I really needed check up and probably needed some work done.

It had been 5+ years since seeing a dentist for me, so I felt a bit sheepish going in. The staff was super friendly and nice and didn't give me any grief about being away so long. Dr. Platis was great at explaining everything to me, and the team took the time to figure out how to get the most out of my benefits. Definitely recommend!!!

I am no expert on dentists, as I had been going to one my whole life and recently switched to this one for convince sake.
The staff were pleasant: from the receptionist to the hygienist.
I didn't see the dentist, and I am not sure if it is normal for a cleaning and examine to be separate from one another..but aside from that, no complaints!

I can`t really say much about Metro Dental that others haven`t already said. From reception, to the dental hygienist to my dentist, Dr. K, I was made to feel extremely comfortable. The receptionist handled my insurance claims so everything was instant. The dental hygienist gave me recommendations on more comfortable tongue rings (most dentist just tell me to take it out so it was nice to have an alternative rather than judgment). Dr. K takes her time to make sure you understand everything she is doing; I like that she`ll let you know exactly how something is going to feel. Which alleviates anxiety

It had been 7+ years since my last dental check-up, so it was with some trepidation that I enter Metropolitan Dental (MD). Located on the lower level of MaRS next to the food court, I'll be honest that I chose this dentist primarily because it's next to my office, and I pass by it often on my way to lunch. Having experienced MD, however, I would easily recommend this dentist to friends and family.
MaRS is a stunning building, and MD continues the trend within its deceptively large space. The facility is classy, bright, clean, and looks brand new. Impressively, the music selection playing

Dr. Platis is a great dentist and for the first time in my life, I go on a regular basis for check-ups and cleanings. The reception staff are especially good. Very friendly and they always remember me. The waiting room plays Cirque du Soleil. He's thorough and non-judgmental.
Plus, he's a young dentist in a great location. If you need a dentist, check him out.
