We have had many doctor manpower changes that may have effected you. Dr. Robinson is on maternity leave and not returning to practice. Dr. DiPalma has retired from community family practice. Drs. Sharkey, MacGregor, Zimmerman and Paget have left the province to practice elsewhere. Dr. Thompson has changed the scope of her practice to caring for the elderly.
Dr. Hurley has significantly reduced the hours she spends at the clinic. We are truly sorry if you have received a letter and have been asked to find a doctor outside of our office. We, like other doctors offices in Alberta, are facing changes to health care and we don't see any provincial support from any helpful influences that will make any meaningful changes in the foreseeable future.

Services
The Family Care Practice has in it Dr. Connie Ellis, Dr. Megan Hurley, Dr. Christine Renz, Dr. Kanwar Braich, Heather Bailey - NP, the family practice residents and any other doctors that are in the clinic filling in for other doctors who may be on holidays or not in the office for other reasons. Appointments are booked in advance, but we do reserve a few slots each day for emergencies, sudden severe illness, or urgent single issue appointments.
Our physicians offer care to all ages. With 15 family doctors practicing here at Bowmont we believe we have the expertise to care for all your general medical needs. Some of our physicians offer evening appointments as well. Bowmont Medical Clinic has the facilities to provide emergency care. Our physicians can suture lacerations, apply casts and treat other minor injuries.
We can accommodate urgent appointments on short notice. We offer you travel advice / immunizations (if applicable) at the time of your appointment. We can arrange most investigations you require for your annual medical exam or for your VISA medical examination. Travel Medicine focuses on health promotion as a means to maintain the health and well-being of travelers.
