Services
All adults 65 years of age and older are advised to receive an annual influenza vaccine, according to Canada's National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI), as this age group is considered to be at particularly high-risk of influenza-related complications or hospitalization. FLUZONE High-Dose vaccine, developed for adults 65 years of age and older has shown.
Individuals may request an appointment for pre-travel consultation by contacting any of the locations below. We try our best to accommodate last minute travellers. Walk-in clients are accommodated when possible but primarily appointments are pre-booked. We look forward to connecting with you.

Physicians may refer non-urgent post-travel patients for consultation with an Infectious Disease Specialist, screening for infections in expatriates, and post-exposure blood & body fluid assessments.Fax a referral letter to any of the clinic locations below. Cost of services is covered by provincial health care plans.
Consulting with our health professionals before you travel is an important step in protecting your health, educating yourself and preventing disease. Your current immunization records, which can be obtained by contacting Central Records at 403- 214-3641 if from Calgary or your local Public Health Centre if from a location outside of Calgary.
At Odyssey Travel Clinics, we carry a selection of items that are proven to protect your health in the international setting. Products are conveniently available at all clinic locations. Insect repellents discourage biting insects & ticks by making it difficult for them to find us, but they do not kill insects.
Provincial health care plans will cover your costs if you come home with an illness, but they do not cover the costs of pre-travel health care or travel vaccines. Therefore you will need to reach into your pocket to pay for the consultation fee and most of the vaccines. This is an investment in your health that will help protect you not just for this trip but for more in the future.
