This place was alright, had its pros and cons. Good room sizes with a private hot tub for the cottages. They also had a nice warm pool, tasty restaurants and a beautiful view. On the very negative end, we had a rodent in our attic for the entire one week trip. We notified the people at the front desk and nothing was done about it. It kept us up at night since it was making noises and scratching inside the roof for hours. Overall, it was fine..

The reason I give it only 2 stars is that our cottage had a rodent in the attic and kept scratching the roof at night. We notified the office but nothing was done for the week we stayed there, and I could not sleep due to it. On the positive side, the view was beautiful, the pool was warm and heated. The staff were friendly but I feel like they were understaffed. I would definitely recommend people to visit and stay here though. Other then the rodent problem, we enjoyed the stay.

Very well kept hotel. I was impressed as I’ve expected something a lot more worn out as I know this place has been around forever. It took me by surprise. Great decor. Very comfortable rooms. The restaurant downstairs is great too. Fully enjoyed our stay!

Walked around the resort but it appears to be relatively closed up for the season. The resto had limited hours and the morning fare consisted of a small breakfast buffet, and although we didn't come for the brekkie, we did ask for coffee and hot chocolate for the kids and they didn't even ask us to sit. In the end, we drank our stuff in the hallway outside. The resort looked pretty empty of people. Pool closed. Main restaurant closed. We played on the small shell littered beach in front of the resort and skipped rocks and pebbles and then left to go hiking on the rest of the island. Nice place

Arrived at Poets Cove for the first time in many years. My wife and I were looking forward to a quiet weekend over thanksgiving. Unbelievably it was nice enough out to go to the pool! We went to the upper adult pool to do some reading. That was great for about 10 minutes until two families showed up with screaming kids. We had to abandon the pool plan unfortunately.
The lower pool always used to be the kids pool. So adults could hang out without all the screaming at the upper pool. Now there is no escape anywhere in the resort from raging screaming kids. WE WONT BE BACK!!

I stayed here last year. I love this place but the cottages don’t live up to par. The place was really gross and dirty so we ended up getting 4 free nights and a meal for this year. We jumped on the opportunity but this time things were just not working. The main bathroom’s fan and floor heating weren’t working, lightbulbs were burnt out, bathrooms were filthy, water pressure was poor. I don’t recommend staying in the cottages. I’ve stayed in two different ones and both were disappointing to say the least.

I went to this resort for a wedding with a big group of adult friends. The upper pool was packed with 20 kids running around! Sounded like a kindergarten on recess but with water craziness!!
They used to have an upper adults pool where a person could relax without a full pack of kids screaming at top volume. That would be great if they put all the kids in the much bigger lower pool.
Difficult to enjoy your time with this much noise.

The property is beautiful but the rooms need upgrading.
No towels in the room. No room service from restaurant. When we went to pick up food it was always incorrect and we had to trek back downstairs to… rectify.
The power was out… and I know this is no fault of the hotel however.. the fire alarm or some other alarm kept going off all night once the power came back on. This was very disturbing to our sleep. Concierge made no attempt to fix this when we went out at 2:30 to ask about it. In the morning when I mentioned it … i was hoping to have a partial refund or credit. This

Lovely staying in one of the cottages with private hot tub; and oceanfront restaurant close by in the main lodge, for dine-in or take-out.

Great staff, pools, hot tubs, cafe and pub. marina washrooms could use a bit more regular cleaning and 7$ for one load of laundry was on the pricy end of things.
