Terrible service! I was in a not at fault accident on Saturday and the claims department is closed on the weekend so I was unable to get my vehicle towed (tow company couldn't access my policy to verify that I was covered). Monday morning I call claims again. I was given a temp # and told to wait for an adjuster to call. 4 hours later I call my broker and am told they'll email Echelon. 2 hours later I call Echelon directly to find out they haven't filed the claim and there's no adjuster scheduled to call me!
Looks like I'll have to take a second day off work because I don't have a car. 48 hours

Overall not a great insurance company in my opinion, I did not have a good experience with them as they weren’t willing to lower my insurance when I had a clean driving record. Save yourself the time and energy and find another insurance company. Outrageously expensive especially if you’re a student.

I had an auto accident the beginning of October 2021. They made no attempt to speak with the other parties insurance company, it took over a week to get a call back regarding an update. I had to escalate it to a supervisor and it still took me calling for two days all day to hear back. It has now been a week and a half and an appraiser still has not been arranged to see my vehicle. I pay a very high amount for insurance and it seems my money is gladly collected yet they don't have adequate staff to provide necessary and simple auto insurance needs to myself as a paying customer. Two months since

This is HANDS DOWN the worst service I have ever received in my entire life. I pay $400+ per month for insurance. I was in an accident on Nov 30th. My truck wasn't even towed for 2 days after. It took five days to even get in touch with someone. It has now been 11 days since the one and only time I spoke with someone at Echelon regarding my claim. I have called, sent emails, voicemails, called numerous departments and just nothing. This is the most negligent insurance company and is definitely not worth the money. I have had to organize my tow, rental and repairs at a shop and be back and forth

While my broker has been delightful my experience with this company is the opposite. Ended up with them because of a typo with desjardin 3 years ago that resulted in non payment cancelation (and then they never I formed me that my payments bounced for 4 months leaving me without insurance for two weeks before finding out. And now I've had a similar issue with this company after TD banks ATM system was down for two days and the company refused to let me dispute the notice to cancel or even consider an extension this forcing me to pay out nearly $4000 in just a little under three weeks not to mention

I’m with them as I own a classic car. I have a clean driving record and for my new term renewal they increased my payments by $140 /month. They excuse I received was “oh we have changed our billing system, so payments need to be condensed. Your over all Premium has gone down. But your paying more per month. This happened to me last year to. Worse company ever. Hands down!! Stay away

I advice all to stay away from this insurance company!! I have them as I am high risk. Some guy backed into me over 2 months ago. Took two months to determine my car was a right off. Trying to get a hold of my insurance adjuster or her supervisor is like pulling teeth. Suppose to get a rental for 5 days after I was presented settlement but haven't been given the chance as I cant get a hold of adjuster. She emailed me back saying she would give me a call back a few days ago and still no word. My broker is having troubles with getting a hold of her or manger as well. STAY AWAY!!!! I got an insurance quote for my bf and I at the time and had to pay over 1500.00 as a down payment because he was a high risker driver. I called 4 days before the payment was going to be pulled that I needed to change the quote to just one car and they told me the 1500.00 would still be pulled and then adjusted. I put a stop payment on my account because I did not want 1500.00 dollar just gone. Nobody called me, NOTHING! I tried reaching out for days and days and got nothing back. I had already gotten new insurance and moved on. Few months later they send me a letter stating I owed them money,

Insured length: 4 days
Cost: $264.24
Difficult to get a hold of (>30min wait)
Before I signed up I asked how much I would have to pay if I had to cancel my insurance before the end of a full year. They kept beating around the bush telling me there was no way to tell, and there is no point in estimating because they could never give me an exact number because it depended on so many “circumstances” beyond my level of comprehension. I pressed for a ballpark figure and they told me that it would only be a cost equal to the # of days / months I was insured for + a small fee. Sounds fair. I cancelled

Protect your credit, protect your money and protect your sanity. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. After having been deemed a "high risk" driver due to a number of speeding tickets, I was forced to purchase insurance from Echelon. Aside from the initial issues of having been quoted 4 different amounts, regardless of them running my license and record, I had accepted what they said to be true and agreed to pay their fourth and highest quote. I pay for my auto insurance annually as opposed to monthly and the full amount for the year was withdrawn from my card June 20th. I attempted to make a purchase
