Prana: (sanskrit) pra'na: Vital life force energy which is absorbed through breath, permeating body, mind & spirit. Prana Yoga Studio has been offering cutting edge, holistic yoga classes, workshops and Yoga Teacher Training programs in Edmonton's west end for thirteen years. In 2016 after ten years in Hawkstone Plaza, we moved locations, taking the opportunity to expand and add an amazing hot yoga room.
Workshops are a great way to explore the depths and dimensions of yoga both on and off the mat. You will be surprised how much more there is to learn beyond a regular class, and how rewarding it is to add knowledge and depth to your practice! This is an excellent yoga studio. It's clean and tidy, all of the staff are genuine and professional, and the quality of instruction is good. The studio has a warm and welcoming vibe. I especially love going to the Monday night Hot Yin class with Tania. She's lovely!

All I can say about this place is just so awesome. I was having sleeping issue for the past few months. I join the yoga class been only one week I have been sleeping like a baby for just that week. The hot yoga class by Tania is awesome. Thank you Pranayoga for all what you are doing.

I have to agree with some of the negative reviews here. Not a good experience. Most of the teachers that I have encountered are sweet, but I have had some bad experiences. It's too bad because this used to be my favourite studio, but I will never take a class, training, or workshop here in the future.

It's a nice studio, the instructors also seem nice. I don't have much experience with yoga studios but I do find the studio to be very crowded and chaotic.
Not a very relaxing environment if that's what you are looking for.
They really cram people into the studio. We were told to have our mats 6 inches apart. I do not find that comfortable, especially with poses where you have to turn and face the long edge of your mat and bend forward. My face was literally in a strangers butt. Obviously I can't relax in that scenario. I know it makes more money to have more people in

Beautiful studio, beautiful teachers. Will not go elsewhere as nowhere can compare.
Not sure if I have some kind of bias, but I have always liked all the male teachers they've had (starting with Cole, to now Matthew & Kevin) tiny bit more than the female teachers here. The male teachers seem more fun, consistent & calming - but they're all good nonetheless. Just my opinion.
Not a fan of one of the recent receptionists they had who seemed frazzled - it's meant to be calming when one enters the space, so that throws me off. Overall, best studio in the city! Love it!

I've been going to Prana for 3 years now and for a good reason. The studios are very beautiful, calm and the staff are very friendly always. They have lockers and very nice change rooms including showers. At the end of hot classes, they offer a cool, lemongrass facecloth which I greatly appreciate after a hot class. I always love coming to Prana after a very hectic day working at a school. There are always a good variety of classes and the workshops are very interesting as well. The studios do get busy at certain times during the year but that's very good for business and one just

I attended my first-ever yoga class on Friday and walked out feeling great!! I was extremely hesitant and nervous going in as I didn't know what to expect or what was going to be expected of me. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by Amy and she was a total rockstar. Not only did she put my nerves at ease, she took the time to show me… around the studio and orientate me to where everything was. Once I got into the class, Louise was a great instructor and I never felt like I was out of place in the class (which I'm sure I was). I finished the class alive (whew) and feeling incredibly

Very busy yoga studio. I tried the unlimited yoga for a month. I was there everyday and everyday was always busy. I just didn't like how they have the kids yoga right before my class and not overlap, I would go to my class and see lots of kids on the hallway.
I guess I'm just not a fan of a hot yoga class with no consistency. And I hate chanting(it's just me). I prefer other form of yoga.
The facility was amazing, they thought about everything, from warm towels to free use of locker to not smelling like sweat. Parking is fair.
I was disappoint when I found out I couldn't

Everything about Prana is beautiful - from the warm welcome on my first visit, to the cool lemongrass towel you get at the end of your practice. It's a Friday night and I'm so unbelievably zen that all I wana do is curl up on their comfy cushions in the tea lounge and chill. Best yoga venue I've tried in Edmonton! <3

By far the best yoga studio in Edmonton. Besides the beautiful space and clean setting, the entire staff here is the friendliest. Each teacher is extremely accommodating to any of your needs or concerns. You can tell everyone here loves their work and it comes off in their teachings. Hands down the best yoga studio my husband and I have had the pleasure of finding here in edmonton. Highly recommend.
