Established in 2001 as the Yoga Loft on Whyte Avenue, in Edmonton, Alberta, the SATTVA School of Yoga has grown to offer practitioners a well-rounded holistic approach to yoga that incorporates physical postures, breathing, and meditation. In addition, the school also offers monthly workshops, global retreats, and teacher development programs that guide practitioners to a deeper understanding of themselves and their practice.

While our physical studio is closed and in-person classes are put on hold, we'll be offering a number of classes live online so that you can stay moving from the comfort of your own home. We are extremely thrilled to let you know that we are still able to create a community and practice with one another through our live streamed classes using MindBody!
Are you new to yoga? Have you been practicing, but you'd like a bit more instruction to more clearly understand your practice? Join Carrie Davison and Antonella Cascione in this 6 Week Beginner's Course. These classes will run on Tuesdays AND Thursdays from 7:00pm - 8:15pm. If you have any questions about the program, please don't hesitate to reach out to jake@sattvaschoolofyoga.com.
This teacher training is hands-on, focusing on practical application of how to address the aspects of body and mind in order to achieve total balance and harmony. This program is perfect for aspiring teachers and students of yoga who wish to deepen their practice and understanding of yoga. Come experience the depths of yourself and discover the potential that exists within you.
We have two options for you this upcoming spring - both of them are LIVE - no pre-recorded lessons here! A monthly style of training calls to the practitioner who would like to integrate the teachings of yoga within their lives over seven months. Taking the offering over a prolonged period of time allows the development of one's practice to be continuous.

When you first step foot into this yoga studio you can feel the warm, welcoming atmosphere! The place is absolutely beautiful and has one of the best views of the city! It’s always nice to show up a little early just to take in everything. I’m a beginner with yoga and I made sure to take one of their more easy going classes which I would highly recommend! Don’t be afraid to ask for some tips before or after you begin! They happily helped me figure out what I could do to make a movement easier for me! You can tell there’s absolutely no judgement! I felt very comfortable in this space so

LOVE this studio and all the people that work there! My practise deepened significantly after 2 months of attending classes here comparatively to 10 years of practising at other studios.
This studio is one of a kind in my opinion. All the yoga studios I've been to up until this point have a very "Western Yoga" feel where it's primary on focus is on the physical practise.
Sattva Yoga Studio is the most "Traditional
Yoga" studio I have ever come across. Their school teaches you about breath, body, and mind. They also offer a Satsang and Meditation on Wed nights. The only other place I've ever

I love this studio. It's a beautiful serene environment to practice. There are more props than you can possibly imagine. And the guides are extremely helpful and supportive. I've read some complaints about it being too advanced but there are plenty of options provided for all levels. If you are new to yoga, I would recommend taking the beginner class. Also note that the Sattva sequence is set each month - so you may find that some practitioners are more comfortable with the flow. Don't worry about others around you...if you focus on your own practice you'll love it. Emily, Jade and Angela in the

I've been to several yoga studios in Edmonton and have had memberships before, but this is by far the best one I've been to of them all. The studio itself is quite lovely and I immediately felt calm walking in. Instructors are friendly and engage in each person's practice to help them make it better. I'm currently on the new student deal, but I will definitely be purchasing an ongoing membership at the end of the month!

This studio has my heart! Over the last several years my practice has been given such care and inspiration by the team of educators at the SATTVA School. The space itself is exquisitely beautiful and well taken care of, with such sweet ambience in both the large and small practice rooms and throughout the general space. The teachers that I have worked with over the years have been such a source of knowledge, answers, support and encouragement. It is a very safe place to strike up a conversation with your neighbouring yogi (whether you know them or not!), or enjoy a quiet and introspective time

I attended 4 classes at SATTVA School of Yoga while visiting Edmonton from the US. As a yoga teacher myself, I appreciated the quality and depth of the teaching, as well as the meditation after asana practice. The staff and teachers were very welcoming, and the space is beautiful. I enjoyed it very much.

Without a doubt the most kind hearted, non judgmental , nurturing yoga space i have ever experienced. From the moment you enter you're greeted by a warm and zen filled space. The all levels practice is strong, i encourage beginners to take the beginner class. If you're ready to take your practice to the next level, this is the place! The guided breathing and meditation practice that follows is very settling. Every month is new sequence. They are always looking to evolve and they offer many workshops and retreats around the world. Sattva school of yoga has become my second home.

Kind and patient instructors, beautiful space and so many class times every day. I love that even though the staff are all clearly very close, they are so inclusive and supportive of everyone. It's really am amazing yoga community and even though the staff have advanced yoga practices (which makes them really good teachers) they are still very encouraging, helpful and positive to beginners and all levels. I am so grateful for the Sattva School! <3
