At Signal Hill Eye Care we will use the latest technology to aid in the examination process. Not only is this information important in determining your exact prescription, but also very useful in the early detection and treatment of eye problems. You will find our examination to be thorough and informative, as we will discuss options and make recommendations on what is best for your eyes and vision.
Come in to see our newly renovated dispensary with over 1,500 frames. A vast selection of frames with new additions arriving every week. Our trained opticians are available to provide guidance on frame style, shape and size to those looking for that perfect frame. Our sunglass cove provides a large selection in the latest sunglass styles suitable for those looking for prescription sunglasses or non-prescription sunwear.
The world of contact lenses has been through a dramatic shift in technology over the past few years. New silicone hydrogel materials have allowed for much greater comfort in delivering moisture and plentiful supply of oxygen to the eye. We find we are successfully fitting many people who have experienced comfort problems in contact lenses in the past.
Our office has been built on the referrals of others and we gladly accept new patients to our office. Although we accept many referrals from physicians, a referral is not required. As a new patient, a thorough history and background analysis for your eyes will be completed. Please bring any glasses you wear and contact lenses (with the boxes/cases they are supplied in) to the office for your first visit.
We are pleased to offer an alternative to laser vision correction in the process of orthokeratology (often called ortho-k or OK). Ortho-K is a treatment contact lens which is designed to correct myopia (near-sightedness), or the inability to see at a distance. The unique feature of ortho-k is the ability to correct your vision as you sleep!

Went here because of the reviews but had a poor experience. The eye exam was fine, although at my other clinics I have been asked more questions and provided more advice, this clinic felt like I was pretty in and out. I ordered contacts to my house and they never shipped, I was never told why that happened, and then had to pick them up at the clinic instead. I told the clinic that I was completely out of contacts, and they didn’t label the boxes for me so I’d advise to check that before leaving the clinic if you get contacts.

Wrong diagnosis, causing headaches from wrong numbers.. I went back to them for correction three times and they did not refund me the money for the wrong examination. What is the point of checking if it is wrong?
Only one star for the reception staff, they were helpful
But in the end, the person who cares is that the number of the view is correct

I’ve been going here for approximately 20 years. It is a very good optometry ‘eye doctor’ clinic. As well as prescription glasses dispenser. They diagnosed and caught early potential glaucoma in my eyes and may have prevented a very serious disease. All of my prescriptions have been super accurate and the glasses and lenses incredibly well done. I’ve tried the likes of brass Monical and other places during sales, and it was a big mistake. Never as good as these folks at Signal Hill Eye. They always back up and take care of me on any of the purchases I’ve bought with repairs and any adjustments

Such friendly staff all in all. It was my first time to this clinic and I was greeted and taken care of right away! Megan was the STAR of the show and made me feel so welcomed. Not only did she ask all the right questions about me eye health but she went above and beyond and really brightened my day with a great conversation and her overall positivity. Dr. Levasseur was also wonderful. I was worried I had something in my eye and her calm presence made the overall experience a great one! Thank you Signal Hill Eye Care. Had an appointment scheduled at 9:30am for an eye exam. After waiting in the exam room for 40-minutes, I walked out due to another appointment. I explained the situation to the front desk as I left, but did not receive any apology nor did I receive a telephone call after the fact. I and my family have been long-time patients at this facility; I can honestly say that it feels like these people no longer have an interest in patient care, but seem more interested in profit margins. I won't be back.
